Craving Fall

Is it too early to talk about Fall stuff?  If you think so, then we’ll politely part ways today and we’ll resume this conversation in a month.  🙂  If you think it’s totally cool to talk about Fall even though it’s still August, then we’ve just become BFFs and you should definitely read on.

I’m looking forward to the Fall so I’m taking a slight detour from salads, ice cream, and all things having to do with summer.  This post is sort of like sharing what Stuff I’m Into, except this it’s dedicated to all the things that I’m looking forward to for the Fall season.

Apples and Pumpkins.  They’re THE foods of the Fall season.  Apple pie.  Pumpkin pie.  Warm spices and warm dishes.  I rest my case.

I’ve made the things below and would not hesitate to do so again in a heartbeat.

Fall Foods TBD.  I’ve made this apple pie a handful of times and it’s uh-mazing.  I planned on sharing the recipe with you last year.  I can’t remember why the plans fell through.  It’s on the agenda for this Fall though and I’m sure I’ll come up with a bunch of other things in my favorite food season.

Fashion.  I adore fashion this time of the year.  There’s something about cuddling up with a sweater, sweatshirt, or scarf that I find so comforting… maybe because it’s so comfortable.  😉

Who doesn’t like a little leopard print in their wardrobe?   I bought this scarf from JCrew a couple of years ago but I’ve linked a similar one if you’re interested.  I can dress it up for work with a silk blouse and black trousers or dress it down with a t-shirt and jeans for the weekend.

And let’s not forget about an awesome pair of boots.  Last week I mentioned that I ordered a couple of boots already.  They came in and I love them!

I’m also eyeing these Dolce Vita Booties too.  Gah, so many boots and so little time.  I have to pace myself because it’s not even September yet and I’m sure new styles will be coming out.

It’s all about the fringe, baby.  That’s on super trend this Fall.  I’ll admit that it’s not for everyone.  I think these fringe booties and sandals are hot.  So…tempt…ing.   I love my Herve Leger fringe clutch that I bought a few years ago.  I’ve linked a similar one that’s equally amazing.

Decor.  I love the Fall time colors and I have so much fun incorporating those colors with my everyday decor.  I also love to use white accents with fresh white flowers and miniature pumpkins, like I did last year for the table setting.  Here is how I decorated my home last year.  I’m sure you’ll see some of the same things this year, but arranged in a different way to switch it up.  The setup below was my favorite vignette from last year.  Ah, that candelabra is to die for.

It’s official, I’m starting a “Fall Rules” club.  Anyone want to join?  😉

  1. Fall is my favorite time of the year and trust me in the tropical August heat of Hong Kong November can’t seem to come soon enough. I love all of your accessories, too cute!

I’m like you Tina. Towards the end of a season, I look forward to the next one. Too early for autumn? I think not. Yes, would love to join the “Falls Club”.
