How to Clean Makeup Brushes

Do you know how to clean your makeup brushes?  Wait, maybe we should start with a simpler question… do you know that you should clean your makeup brushes? Unless you like throwing away expensive brushes (because let’s face it, even the cheap ones can be pretty pricey), you should clean your makeup brushes.  When you clean them you’re getting rid of old makeup, oil, dirt, and even bacteria.  Gross. Usually I clean my makeup brushes with hand soap and felt it did the job.  I’ve heard some people use baby shampoo instead, but I’ve never tried that because I don’t …

Stuff I’m Into

Happy Friday, my friends!  Here’s the Stuff I’m Into lately: Tassels, Bright Colors, and Clutches, Oh My!  The embroidery detail on this Star Mela clutch is amazing.  I don’t usually wear a lot of bright colored clothes, but accessories are great way for me add a touch of color into my outfit without feeling self conscious about it.  It’s sold out from the website I bought it from, but I found it here. P.S.  My husband says it looks like a potato sack, but I’m going to pretend he didn’t say that.  😉   Summer Lusting.  For the past two months I have been lusting over Tory …

Egg In A Bread Sandwich

Last weekend, I had a craving for an egg in a bread.  Do you know what that is? An egg in a bread is exactly what it sounds like, a piece of bread with an egg cooked in the middle of it.  It’s most commonly known as egg in a basket, but it goes by many other names.  My mom called it “egg in a bread” so that’s what I still call it today. Easy Tofu Stir Fry

Tofu.  Are you a fan?  I think it’s one of those foods that you either love or hate. When I told my mom that I was making tofu for dinner, her exact words were “bleh.”  Well, to each her own.  😉  I won’t convince my mom or you to try it, but I will say that I initially didn’t like tofu.  I thought it was too soft and mushy.  My husband on the other hand has always liked tofu.  He broke me down a little at a time with tasty dishes that had tofu in them.  Then I learned how to cook it in …

Paloma

Paloma…  Isn’t that a fun word to say?  Or maybe it’s just me. I’m not a big drinker and by that I mean I average one drink a week, if that.  When I do have the occasional drink, it’s usually a gin and tonic.  Being my favorite, it made sense that it was the first cocktail recipe that I shared with you back in September 2014.  It took me 1 and 1/2 years to post anything having to do with alcohol and I’m not exactly sure why it took me that long. Today’s cocktail marks my 7th recipe so it would appear that I’m …
