Make Nail Polish Last Longer

Are you constantly searching for tips on how to make your nail polish last longer?  Well, I am.  And I’ve finally found the simple and inexpensive answer! I think it comes down to two things: 1. The nail polish color needs something rough to stick to, like a primer that you would apply to walls before you paint them. The Nail Tek Foundation II (aka foundation) is an opaque polish that has a bit of a rough texture once it’s dried.  Nail Tek Foundation II dries within one minute.  Yay for a quick step! 2. Fiesta Tablescape

Margarita anyone? Ok, even though you will not see a recipe for a margarita in this post (sorry to disappoint if that’s what you looking for), I had to ask the question because I was in the mood for one and that’s what inspired me to decorate my table in a fiesta theme.  My husband and I enjoy hosting dinners for our family and friends and I’m notorious for using dinner themes.  Everything from the food, to the drinks, to the decor will coordinate to match a theme. Pillows For A Nook

I have this amazing Asian inspired chest from my husband’s grandmother.  I enjoy inheriting pieces and mixing it with new ones.   By itself the chest is beautiful but I wanted to add a few details to perfect the nook.   What better way than to accent the chest with some pillows!  I love pillows.   I think pillows create a warm look.  I’ll find any excuse to find a place to put them. Another great point about sugar cookies is that you …

Sugar Cookie Icing

Everyone needs a good sugar cookie icing recipe in their recipe collection.  I don’t make cut-out cookies often, but when I do the icing is a must for presentation points! This icing is sweet which makes it perfect to use with sugar cookies.  In fact, I would use this icing recipe with other cookies like gingerbread cookies.  You can customize the icing to any color you want.  Plus, initially its consistency is thin so that it’s easy to use for icing the cookies, but then it hardens up nicely. I love to decorate my home, so it makes a lot …
