Banana Crumb Cake

I’m on a mission to make every flavor of crumb cake possible. If you search “crumb cake” on my blog then you’ll see that I’ve made a few.  I can’t help it.  I just love crumb cakes. This crumb cake combines two of my favorite recipes, the cake part from the banana cake recipe and the crumb topping from the coffee crumb cake recipe.  The end result is a moist banana cake topped with buttery crumb topping.  Be still my heart.  This combo is as wonderful as I had imagined it to be.  I love it when that happens (because it’s not always …

Chocolate Cupcakes for Two

Today my blog is four years old.  Wow… just wow. Every birthday deserves a cake.  I didn’t want to make an entire cake for just me and my husband so I went with cupcakes instead.  The best part is that it’s a recipe for only two cupcakes which is totally perfect for a party of 2! One Layer Chocolate Cake

Are you done with your holiday shopping? I had all my shopping done by December 4th.  I’m not trying to toot my horn or anything.  😉 Although I haven’t wrapped them yet…. Chocolate Pound Cake

Chocolate seems to be left behind at Thanksgiving time. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about eating pies.  I love pies, but I thought I’d bake a chocolate dessert to make sure that we don’t forget about our beloved.  😉  How does chocolate pound cake sound to you? Picture a pound cake with a chocolate twist or a chocolate cake that’s more dense.  Either way you look at it, you’ve got something seriously delicious going on. The thing that I love about pounds cakes (besides the fact that they are tasty) is that you can serve it in a bazillion …

Iced Pumpkin Coffee Cake

And just like that, it’s already November. On November 1st the mall was already decorated for Christmas and some people have already posted pictures on social media that their house is decorated for Christmas.  I have to admit that that totally stresses me out.  It makes me feel like I’m behind on my holiday shopping and decorating.  Does anyone else feel that way?  I’m determined to enjoy these last days of Fall and ignore those early birds (or try to). If you only make one pumpkin goodie this Fall then it must be this coffee cake (excluding pumpkin pie because of …
