Decorating with Pillows

I am loving my new decorative pillows!  Originally I had faux sheepskin pillows in my living room but they scream autumn and winter.  While I love my faux sheepskin pillows, it’s time for a seasonal change. Pillows are an inexpensive and easy way to make over a room.  There are so many options to choose from, whether you’re looking for a particular size, style, color, or pattern.   Plus they come in all price ranges to fit within your budget.  You can find them at so many places, like furniture stores, chain stores, home decor stores, and on line. Springtime Mantel

It feels like spring is finally here!  It’s about that time to update my mantel decor and  I decided to go with a rustic springtime look.  I wanted to keep everything simple and clean and use objects that remind me of spring. Easter Tablescape

Time to set the table for Easter dinner!  I don’t have a lot of Easter decorations so I tend to have more of a springtime table with accents of a bunny and Easter egg here and there. The delicate eyelet lace table runner creates a soft backdrop for my tablescape.  Table runners can be a good tool to help you get a sense of where things can be placed on the table.   I used a variety of hurricane glasses (mercury glass and clear glass) and tall chunky candles which run down the table.  Using objects of different heights creates …

Fiesta Tablescape

Margarita anyone? Ok, even though you will not see a recipe for a margarita in this post (sorry to disappoint if that’s what you looking for), I had to ask the question because I was in the mood for one and that’s what inspired me to decorate my table in a fiesta theme.  My husband and I enjoy hosting dinners for our family and friends and I’m notorious for using dinner themes.  Everything from the food, to the drinks, to the decor will coordinate to match a theme. For this fiesta tablescape, I started with a simple white table cloth …
