Cold Sesame Noodles

This is a meatless lunch and I’m loving it. If you’re familiar with me or my blog then you know that I live for easy lunches that I can make ahead of time to bring to work. I’ve noticed that I eat healthier when I prep my lunches on Sunday before the busy week. I’d bet that many of you feel the same way as me. So today I have a new favorite lunch. I saw this recipe on Instagram a few months ago and I couldn’t wait to try it. It had my name written all over it. I …

How to Steam Broccoli Without a Steamer

My husband and I make this broccoli at least once a week. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve made this broccoli.  Seriously, too many times to count.  So to say it’s tested, tried and true is an understatement.  I never thought about sharing this as a recipe, because well, I don’t know why.  I think it may be just because it’s too easy and is too obvious to bother.  But aren’t easy recipes the best to share?  Yes.  So now I’m finally sharing it with you. Spinach Pie (Spanakopita)

It looks like celery juice is a food trend this year.  I’ll pass.  However, I do have an green food option for you if you’re into that sort of thing, except this option is delicious. Chili… Again

Chili is the perfect food to be thinking about right now.  Chili is great for cold weather or for the big game.  Who’s up for some chili? I actually shared a chili recipe back in 2013.  Yikes, that was my first year blogging so I’ll be celebrating 6 years already!  Anyway, my husband and I make that chili recipe every winter and we love it.  However, every time we make it, we say that it should have a tad more liquid.  Apparently that didn’t bother us enough because we are only now finally adjusting the recipe to try to fix it.  It’s really …

Almond Biscotti… Made Smaller

I love traditions, especially during the holiday season.   Every Christmas my baby sister comes over and we bake cookies and we always have a blast.  For the past 5 years we’ve made these almond biscotti.  I actually posted the recipe 5 years ago.   These cookies are THE best biscotti recipe I’ve ever made.  Just to show ya, it’s the only biscotti on my blog because no other recipe has come close to being as good.  They’ve set the bar for biscotti baking.  They are perfect in every way, except the size.  Every time we make them we think that they …
