Peanut Butter Blondies

Peanut butter.  And sometimes chocolate.  Need I say more? I’m pretty sure if you’re a peanut butter fanatic then you’re going to love me for sharing this recipe with you.  Heck, I love myself. I made a version of these peanut butter blondies last year, my Peanut Butter Chocolate Dipped Blondies.  Today’s blondies are a slightly different because they are thinner and I added peanut butter chips to the batter.  Additional peanut buttery goodness is always better, right? As far as I’m concerned, these peanut butter blondies are the only peanut butter bar recipe you’ll ever need.  (Hence, my making it again …

Pineapple Margarita

It has been so long since I’ve had a margarita.  I mean it’s literally been years, but the “drought” ends today (or actually it was Sunday when I made it). I’m not sure exactly why I haven’t had a margarita in years.  Perhaps I forgot that they’re delicious.  Or maybe it’s because I remember the pre-made margarita mix that we used once or five times and that made them, well, not so delicious.  I suppose it’s not important, aside from the fact that I’ve been missing out on this tasty cocktail for too long. Kale and Pasta

Have you ever hated a particular food but then come to like it over time?  That sums up my relationship with kale. When I first tried kale I thought it was bitter and quite frankly gross.  My husband was somewhat ambivalent about it.  He didn’t dislike it, but he wouldn’t seek it out either.  Now we’re totally on the kale bandwagon.  I don’t know how that happened but I’m not about to question it.  We like a healthy green veggie and we’re going with it. I’m a huge fan of Ree Drummond, otherwise known as The Pioneer Woman.  I love watching her TV show on Saturday mornings on …

Stuff I’m Into

Here’s the Stuff I’m Into lately: Blogs.  I love, love, love Helene’s Plate to Pixel book.  I’ve probably read it three or four times and each time I pick up something new.  It’s the perfect book for a food blogger, especially to read on vacation because I think it helps me look at food in a different way, a fresh new way so to speak.  Helene’s blog, Tartelette, is amazing beyond belief and I could stare at her photos for hours.  She can make zested and juiced limes look gorgeous!  Talent times infinity. Lindsey Stirling. My husband introduced me to this talented musician.  A few …
