Frozen Cosmopolitan

Who’s up for a boozy beverage to get you started on this Monday!  I know I am. This cold and snowy weather has got me reminiscing about our Turks & Caicos vacation.  Boy, I wish I was on a beach with a frozen cocktail in my hand.  Since I can’t be there I thought I’d bring the beach to me.  Well, sort of.  I’ll enjoy the drink, close my eyes, and pretend I’m at the beach. The resort we stayed at made an awesome frozen cosmopolitan.  Of course I’ve heard of cosmopolitans (hello, Sex in the City), but never in a …

Chocolate Chip Doughnuts

Today, I’m celebrating the 2nd blogiversary of Tina’s Chic Corner! Time flies by when you’re having fun.  Seriously, I have no idea how two years have gone by.  When I started this adventure I didn’t even know if I’d still be doing this gig for two weeks, let alone two years.  I wasn’t even sure about buying my domain name for more than the minimum of one year.  Here I am 316 posts later, with many new friends, learning a lot about food, photography, social media, and myself and I renewed my domain name for another four years.  I guess I …

Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino

It’s frappuccino Friday… But really every day should be frappuccino day! I adore chocolate and that’s nothing new if you’ve been to my blog before.  We have a container of York snack size patties in the kitchen and I literally eat one every day.  Don’t judge me.  As far as chocolates go, they’re actually not that bad for you (assuming you only have one). I also love anything to do with coffee and I drink at least one cup every day.  Of course I had to combine my two loves into this one gorgeous beverage! It’s so thick and luscious.  It’s almost …

Waffles

My husband is not a stranger to making breakfast for me.  However it seemed extra special when he made these waffles for me on Valentine’s Day. Typically when my husband makes waffles he uses Bisquick and a couple of other ingredients. When he reached for the Bisquick he realized we were out.  Now what?  Honestly, a bagel would have been just fine with me.  However, he was not willing to admit defeat so he turned to Google and found this recipe. I’m glad we ran out of Bisquick because these are the best waffles he’s ever made.  In fact, after my …

Black and White Heart Sugar Cookies

Have you made your quintessential heart shaped cookies for Valentine’s Day? I surprised myself by wanting to make cut-out cookies because I tend to avoid making them.  I’m a perfectionist so the process of rolling and cutting cookie dough is daunting to me.  That’s a nice way of saying that I get easily frustrated when I don’t roll out the dough to be the same exact thickness for every single cut-out and I usually throw a temper tantrum for trying over and over again to get it right.  Unfortunately my husband has been a witness to those very events in the past so for both …
