Frozen Margaritas

I’ve got the perfect cocktail to celebrate the beginning of summer. I am a wine or gin and tonic kind of girl. Margaritas? To be honest, it’s not really my drink of choice. Perhaps it’s because I’ve had some not so good versions. But I have three tips to make sure I (and you) have the best margarita (frozen or on the rocks) ever. My husband made it for me and he just seems to be better at bartending than me, so maybe that’s a sort of fourth tip? One, use good liquor. This doesn’t mean $200 magical tequila harvested …

Sorbet and Sparkling Wine

Who is up for some bubbly with a sweet surprise? I saw this “recipe” last year and I have been looking for a good excuse to try it. I just love that you can take 2 simple ingredients and make 1 impressive cocktail. Since we’re about to ring in the new year, I thought this was as good a time as any to whip it up. Cheers!

It’s almost 2017!  Are you going out or staying in for New Year’s eve?  Sometimes my husband and I go out for dinner and head home to watch the ball drop in Times Square.  Other times we skip the restaurant and make a nice dinner at home.  I’m not sure what we’ll do this year.  I have a feeling that we’ll make a decision based on whether I want to get out of my pajamas.  😉 If you’re hosting a party on New Year’s eve (even if it’s a party of 2) then cocktails are a must.  I wanted to …

Malibu and Pineapple

By show of virtual hands, who else thinks that this week is going by too slowly? Perhaps this week feels like it’s dragging because last week was a short work week with the holiday.  Or maybe it’s because I am dreading jury duty tomorrow and I really, really, really don’t want to be called in.  Does anyone actually like being called for jury duty? While I patiently wait for the upcoming weekend (patient…lol…I’m funny), I’ll reminisce about this lovely cocktail that I enjoyed last weekend.  Yes, I just shared a cocktail recipe with you last week, but this one is completely different.  …

Strawberry Daiquiri

Red, white, and blue… Yup, I went there. I don’t always match my food with the appropriate holiday theme, but when I do, I go all out.  😉  Since the 4th of July is all about family time around the BBQ and having an iced beverage to cool down, I instantly had the idea of sharing a cocktail recipe with you to celebrate the occasion. I wanted to make a red, white, and blue cocktail but that seemed to involve too many kinds of alcohol and too much preparation.  Who has that kind of time?  It’s not that you’re not worth it, …
