Wedge Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing

For a girl who doesn’t fancy making homemade dressing, I sure am making a lot of homemade dressing lately. There is really nothing fancy about this salad, but the blue cheese dressing makes it. If you’re not a fan of blue cheese then you can substitute it for gorgonzola cheese. Someone might have bought that one by accident. 😉 I think a wedge of lettuce on a plate looks so fancy, just like something you’d get at a nice restaurant. The only downside (literally) to it is that all the toppings fall off the sides. Eh, I’m over it because …

Corn and Arugula Salad

I’m kind of sorry for sharing so many salad recipes. I know it’s one note-y but my blog reflects my life and salads are my life at the moment. This salad makes for a great appetizer or side dish, but it’s a typical lunch for me lately. I might add some leftover chicken or chick peas to give a protein kick. I’m enjoying all of the fresh veggies that summer has to offer. Doesn’t this look like summer on a plate?! Before you know it, we’ll be talking about holiday cookies 24/7 around here. Hearts of Palm and Feta Salad

How do you do this again? I mean blogging because it’s been a while. I took an unintentional hiatus from blogging. My last post was in February which was in the middle of winter. Hello, winter blues. If you’re not familiar with my blog then I’m here to tell you that I’m a huge fan of Greek cooking. (I am half Greek so it comes with the territory.) That means that I have a number of Greek salads and other savory and sweet recipes in my recipe box (i.e. recipe index). I love this Greek orzo salad for lunch. You’ve got some hearty orzo, a little protein from the chick peas, a little Greek flavor …

German Potato and Hard Boiled Egg Salad

You know it’s January when you go from cookie to salad recipes. I’m not the kind of person who starts diets at the beginning of the new year. However, the fact is that I did indulge over the holidays and so now it’s back to eating a more balanced diet. I eat salads for lunch often, especially since we started working from home last March. I’m always trying to come up with new ways to make salads more pretty and exciting to keep me interested, which is where this salad comes in. I’ve always been a fan of German potato …
