Keftethakia – Greek Meatballs

When your kitchen smells like your Yiayia’s (Greek grandma’s) then you know you’ve cooked up something delicious. These meatballs are small in size but mighty in flavor.  They contain onions and garlic, like many other kinds of meatballs.  However, these meatballs are also seasoned with mint, parsley, and cinnamon, which are associated with Mediterranean cuisines. Pumpkin Polenta

I love Autumn so I’m jumping right into pumpkin season already. Technically, I think I might be a little late based on certain coffee chains. Pumpkin home decorations. Pumpkin food. Pumpkin spice lattes. Yes, yes, and yes. I started putting out my Autumn decorations on September 1st. My husband thinks I’m crazy for doing it, but these decorations make me happy. Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and I’ve already got the wheels turning on what I want for dinner (and more importantly, dessert). Sometimes my husband and I like to have “fancy” meals on special occasions. You know, something that you might have at a restaurant and wouldn’t usually make at home. For us that tends to be something like a nice rib eye steak with a couple of sides and a decadent dessert. The two of us enjoy being in the kitchen together so the quality time is an added benefit to staying home and making a fun …

How to Steam Brussels Sprouts Without a Steamer

I don’t think that side dishes are fun to blog about because, quite frankly, they tend to be boring and I have nothing to really talk about. Like “Here’s a recipe. Bye.” However, I find that side dishes are the recipes that I search for the most and if you’re like me then you want to see those here (even if they’re not as exciting as cookies). So without further ado, if you’re looking for a fantastic veggie side dish recipe, here you go. Simple and to the point today. 🙂 My husband and I make these “steamed” Brussels spouts …
