Comfy and Cute

Once the weekend hits, I’m all for comfortable clothes.  Since I workout in the mornings I usually stay in my workout clothes all day, which is apparently the cool thing to do now (who knew?).  I recently read that “athleisure wear” is in style.  It’s a clothing trend where you wear workout clothes. Here’s one of my favorite outfits that I’ve been sporting lately: A good hoodie.  I recently bought this hoodie from Old Navy.  The color I picked online looked more like a pinkish color but in real life it’s a bright peach.  (I’ve actually just noticed that my picture …

Craving Spring

Dear Spring, I’m officially ready for you now that I’ve received these Jeffrey Campbell wedges.  As soon as I received these pretty things last week I’ve been anxious to paint my toenails and sport some Spring fashion. I will miss my over sized and chunky sweaters and scarves but check out what I’m craving for Spring. Wedges.  I see that wedges are on trend for this spring and summer, which is great because I love the look.  (It doesn’t hurt that they help to add a little height.  #shortgirlproblems).  I bought these Marc Fischer wedges last summer and can’t wait to …

Winter Workout

Working out during Winter can be tough.  There are days that I can’t make it to the gym because it’s snowing or because it’s cold and dark and I have little to no motivation to go back out.  This is my struggle from about November to March.  What’s a girl to do?  Well, I’ve switched up my workout routine a bit. I still workout about 4 to 5 times per week.  Going to the gym is Plan A and working out at home is Plan B.  For me, working out at home means popping in a DVD and following along like I have …

Winter Beauty Must Haves

It’s very important to me to take care of my skin, especially in the winter time.  Winters in CT can be cold and dry so scrubs and moisturizers become my best friends. Here is a list of my winter beauty items.  You may recognize a few of them from previous posts (and maybe even previous years). Let’s start with the lips.  I mentioned recently that I just started using Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1.  I love this stuff.  On some days moisturize is not enough so I use Bliss Fabulips Sugar Scrub.  I’ve been using this lip scrub for over two …

New Things

It’s a new year and I’ve got some new things that I’m really loving.  Of course I must share them with you. New planner.  A new year means a new planner.  I wanted something more sophisticated than my 2016 planner so I chose this weekly leather planner from Gallery Leather.  I was so excited when I found it.  I almost felt like I was 10 years old picking out new folders for the new school year.  My husband points out that virtually no one uses actual planners anymore since everyone has smartphones.  I’m old school and I like the zen …
