Whole Wheat Pizza Dough

Sometimes you just want to eat a little healthier, but only a little. You still want pizza because pizza is awesome, but you’d rather be able to convince yourself that you are doing something a bit better for your body than pizza.  A fantastic solution to this problem is whole wheat pizza.  It comes with a healthy dose of earthy crunchy and a solid amount of pizza craving fixing power.  If you top it with things like low fat cheese and veggies you’re well on your way to pizza that you don’t even need to feel guilty about. Yeast Rolls

Guys, I made yeast rolls!  Just kidding.  I still haven’t gotten over my aversion to working with yeast.  Why bother when my husband loves to make bread?  Even better, he loves sharing the recipes with you.  Take it away, babe… I don’t know about where you live, but here in Connecticut we seem to get a lot of commercials for restaurants that aren’t even in our state.  Sometimes we are lucky and after years of watching those commercials we actually end up with one of the advertised restaurants here, but more often than not it’s not anywhere near where I …

French Baguettes

Here’s another dose of Dave’s Bread Corner, courtesy of my awesome bread making hubby… So there I was wondering about new and interesting breads to try to make when it occurred to me that I had absolutely no idea how to make French Baguettes.  Well, okay, absolutely no idea may be a little bit of a stretch.  Obviously I have plenty of experience making bread, and I have some guesses about what goes in French bread, but I’ve never made it before and I was curious about how exactly one achieves the texture of a baguette.  As it turns out it’s really …

A few months ago I found this recipe, pinned it (on pinterest.com), and forgot about it.  Does that happen to you?  I recently came across it again and simply had to try it right away before it got lost in the …

Cardamom Bread

I’ve had so much fun sharing bread recipes with you, courtesy of my husband.  This cardamom bread absolutely had to make the list because it’s my all time favorite sweet bread!  Now, I leave you in good hands with my hubby… This bread is a college flashback for me.  If I recall the story correctly, my roommate had to make something to eat for a class of his.  He remembered this bread from his childhood and asked his mom for the recipe.  After a bit of grocery shopping and trying to find a dorm room with access to an oven, …
