Are you ready for a blast from the past? I’ve been wracking my brain to try to come up with a fun take on the original Rice Krispies treats recipe. (I blame the food blogger in me.) Coconut Chocolate Chip Bars

I’m celebrating Friday with chocolate and coconut (not that I really need a reason to have chocolate). These bars are little squares of cakey goodness. But guess what? There is no wheat flour going on here. They are made with coconut “flour.” They get their sweetness from the coconut flakes, chocolate chips and maple syrup instead of piles of sugar. Crazy, right? For the past couple of years I’ve been noticing that my hair is changing. I feel like it is frizzier and is thinning out. Is it my imagination? Is it because I’m getting older?
