Pumpkin Snickerdoodle White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Are you guys sick of pumpkin foods yet?  I hope not because I’ve got another good one for you. I had two out of three failed recipes over the weekend.  That’s not good odds.  So what do I do?  I bake cookies.  The failures were probably a blessing in disguise because I need to start baking cookies for the holidays.  Yes, I start this early and freeze them.  I bake dozens and dozens of cookies and baking them ahead of time is really the only way to go (unless you want to bake for 9 days straight… all… day… long… not ideal). …

Pumpkin Spice Latte

I’m celebrating Halloween week with pumpkin spice lattes and orange nail polish. Can you believe it’s almost Halloween?  It felt like just yesterday that I was in a bathing suit sipping a prickly pear margarita.  Okay, maybe not literally yesterday, but it was vacation and it was hot in Arizona, so it wasn’t so long ago that it could already be Halloween.  Could it? Pumpkin spice latte is THE coffee to have for Fall.  Just ask every doughnut shop in your area how they feel about it.  I happen to love it so I’d do what what any ordinary food blogger would …

Pumpkin French Toast

How would you like pumpkin pie for breakfast, without actually eating pie?  (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.) My husband and I enjoyed some great meals while we were on vacation.  (The extra pounds that I’m carrying now are proof.)  After all, on vacation nothing has calories, right?  While staying at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, my husband ordered brioche french toast at the Aria Cafe and it was divine.  The food blogger in me and the bread maker in my husband immediately think that we to try to replicate this dish this back at home. As soon as we …

Challah Bread

Holla for Challah! Challah Bread is uh-mazing.  Let’s see…  It’s a bread, it’s a tad sweet, and it looks gorgeous.  Yeah, it’s just freaking amazing. I have to admit that my husband and I had ulterior motives for making Challah.  It’s a secret… until you see it Friday’s post.  Any guesses?  Until then, don’d mind me if I take a slice or two and smear some butter on it.  Mmm carbs.  Mmm butter.  Heaven. My husband has made a lovely 3 strand braid Cardamom Bread.  In fact, he’s made it more times than I can count.  Challah bread usually comes in …

National Parks and Canyons Vacation

Yo, yo, yo!  I’m back from vacation.  Did you miss me?  My husband and I went on a road trip out west to visit some of the national parks and canyons.  When I say road trip, I mean we did a lot of driving… 1,923 miles to be exact.  We had an amazing time and of course I’m sharing what we did.  This was a lot like our other road trips except we had to fly to the starting point this time.  It worked out way better than driving to the starting point. We flew into Las Vegas, Nevada and stayed …
