It’s that time of the year where many of us are in a frenzy with Thanksgiving foods. If you are looking for recipe ideas then check out my holiday meal post for some great ideas. My husband and I will be visiting with family on Thanksgiving day and I’ll be bringing pumpkin pie. I’ve made it every year for the past 10 years or so and it’s my #1 must have every year. Anyway, I digress. I’ve got pie on the brain. Can you blame me? 😉 This salad is Autumn on a plate. I guess it’s really the butternut …

Buffalo Caulifower
I have two recipes for you today. Do you want a scrumptious sandwich or appetizer? Or both? I don’t blame you if it’s hard to decide so I suggest both. I’m getting ahead of myself because I’m super excited about this recipe. I should tell you what’s going on here. From the pictures, this may look like a fish or chicken sandwich, but it’s actually vegetarian. It’s good old cauliflower. If you want sandwiches, then you slice a head of cauliflower into thick slices. The outer slices will fall apart so that’s a little annoying and also kind of unavoidable, …
Pumpkin Muffins
These muffins are autumn in a little cake. I’ve been on a muffin kick lately. I’ll buy one or two from our local grocery store on the weekend as a treat. It’s not exactly the healthiest of habits to have, but it sure does make me happy to have a tasty muffin and coffee for breakfast. My husband says that muffins are not a breakfast food because they are cupcakes without icing. He’s not wrong, but I’m also perfectly fine with having cupcakes for breakfast. 🙂 I decided to bake some muffins instead of buying them and thought pumpkin ones …
Butternut Squash Soup
Yup, it’s definitely soup season in our home. It’s getting cold out and I’m craving warm comfort foods. A couple of weeks ago my husband and I made our favorite split pea soup. It’s a staple every fall/winter. Last weekend I wanted to try something new. I’ve been wanting to try a butternut squash soup, but have you seen how many different recipes are out there? I usually get overwhelmed with the options so I give up, but not this time. I finally made this butternut squash soup and it came out absolutely delicious. It’s got great flavor (thank you, …
Lemon Yogurt Chicken
What are you making for dinner tonight? This inquiring mind wants to know. It’s gotten cooler out and the leaves are falling so we are in full Autumn mode. That means bring on the chili and soups. My husband and I made our favorite chili last week. I think we might make a batch of split pea soup this week, which is another one of our Fall favorite meals. While that’s all delicious, sometimes I’m in the mood for something a little bit lighter like this chicken. It’s marinated in yogurt, lemon, and oregano sauce. Funnily enough you don’t taste …
