Avocado and Feta Dip

I’m so excited that football season starts today so I’m celebrating with this awesome appetizer. I was excited when I found this dip recipe because I had never tried this combination of ingredients together. We all know about avocado and tomatoes together in some kind of a guacamole concoction, but this also has feta cheese and basil and it’s all tossed in a vinaigrette dressing. Honestly, they had me at feta. The pictures don’t do it any justice, it’s a delicious green mush. 😉 It’s a dip by virtue of it’s original titled recipe. However, this would also be great …

Zucchini Pizza Bites

This is what you get when you cross zucchini and pizza. Now some people (like my husband) may not see these cuties as little pizzas because it’s missing the most delicious part, carbs. Listen, I love bread. Always have and always will. But it’s zucchini season so why not try something a little different. No, this won’t taste quite like pizza, but it comes pretty close. And they are so delicious. They didn’t last 5 minutes in our house. They’re also mad easy to make. It takes longer to preheat the oven than it does to actually make them. Ten …

Sourdough Waffles

I know what you’re having for breakfast this weekend. It took my husband a few tries to get the recipe for these sourdough waffles just right. I didn’t mind at all because it was a good excuse to have waffles for breakfast. Who else loves the extra crunchy bits on the sides from the waffle iron? Since these waffles have sourdough starter in them, they have a slight sourdough flavor. …

Tomato Salad

This is my ideal summer salad. I live in New England and if I want delicious tomatoes I usually have to wait until it’s tomato season, which is now. Sure you can buy tomatoes in November but they may not look or taste as good as the ones on this plate. My husband loves to make tomato sandwiches or tomato and cucumber salad and I love to make tomato salads like this one. I love all the vibrant colors from the variety of tomatoes. Red, purple, yellow. None of those flavorless spongy pink ones here. This salad is all about …

Blueberry Pie for Two

Every summer I make blueberry pie and this year it’s slightly different. Usually I make blueberry pie in the summer and bring it over to a friend or family’s home to enjoy. This way we get to enjoy some delicious pie and leave the leftovers with loved ones. It’s a win win. We’ve been staying home lately because of what’s going on in the world today but I knew that we couldn’t miss out on our annual blueberry pie tradition (especially since my husband has been asking for it for weeks). We love pie too much to have a normal …
