Cheese Board for Two

This is not a recipe. Grab your favorite cheese, crackers, bread, and seasonal fruit and voila. Voila, you have a cheese board. My husband asked me if people needed a recipe for a cheese board. I doubt it. Instead, I’m focusing on the idea. We’ve seen charcuterie boards, cheese boards, and even cookie boards for a crowd, but have you thought about doing one for you and your loved one? If yes, then great minds think alike. If not, then you’re welcome. With everything going on in the world, we aren’t entertaining and we aren’t eating out. However, we can …

Spinach and Feta Naan Pizza

Good bye salad season and hello comfort fatty food season. If I put spinach and feta on a pizza does that make it healthier? It’s kind of like a salad spread out all over a comfort food. Football season kicked off last weekend I wanted some pizza to mark the occasion. Usually I prefer a cheese or pepperoni pizza, but I opted for a sauce-less pizza this time. I’ve made this spinach and feta mixture a few times and we love it. I’ve used this stuff as a filling in quesadillas and as a side dish with spaghetti squash and …

Avocado and Feta Dip

I’m so excited that football season starts today so I’m celebrating with this awesome appetizer. I was excited when I found this dip recipe because I had never tried this combination of ingredients together. We all know about avocado and tomatoes together in some kind of a guacamole concoction, but this also has feta cheese and basil and it’s all tossed in a vinaigrette dressing. Honestly, they had me at feta. The pictures don’t do it any justice, it’s a delicious green mush. 😉 It’s a dip by virtue of it’s original titled recipe. However, this would also be great …

Zucchini Pizza Bites

This is what you get when you cross zucchini and pizza. Now some people (like my husband) may not see these cuties as little pizzas because it’s missing the most delicious part, carbs. Listen, I love bread. Always have and always will. But it’s zucchini season so why not try something a little different. No, this won’t taste quite like pizza, but it comes pretty close. And they are so delicious. They didn’t last 5 minutes in our house. They’re also mad easy to make. It takes longer to preheat the oven than it does to actually make them. Ten …

Sourdough Waffles

I know what you’re having for breakfast this weekend. It took my husband a few tries to get the recipe for these sourdough waffles just right. I didn’t mind at all because it was a good excuse to have waffles for breakfast. You know, it’s a hard job being a food blogger sometimes. 😉 These waffles are Belgian style so they are thick, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Who else loves the extra crunchy bits on the sides from the waffle iron? Since these waffles have sourdough starter in them, they have a slight sourdough flavor. …
