A Guide to Burlington, Vermont

I love Vermont.  My husband and I have visited Vermont several times, each time with different destinations.  I think Burlington is our favorite city because it’s a cute town with lots of things to do in the area.  Plus, it’s a beautiful quintessentially New England town.  Although, to be fair, most of Vermont is that way. A couple of weekends ago we visited Burlington for a long weekend.  Since Fall is the perfect time of year to see the Fall foliage in VT, I thought I’d give you the scoop on some of our favorite spots.  (Keep in mind that …

Snickerdoodles

If cookies were the nifty pictures on a calendar, the snickerdoodle would represent one of the Fall months for sure. I’ve been in a funk with recipe making lately and my husband told me that I was the happiest blogging about cookies.  He’s absolutely right.  So I made cookies. I’m all about cinnamon and other warm spices this time of the year and I instantly thought about snickerdoodles.  They are part sugar cookie, part cinnamon, and all delicious.  I’ve never made a snickerdoodle before.  I know, right?  With all the cookie recipes in my collection, you’d think this would have …

Chicken Fajita.  This is a delicious dinner that turns into just as tasty leftovers for lunch the next day.  You can check out the original blog …

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

Fall is absolutely my favorite time of the year.  I know I’ve said it a bazillion times.  There is something about the crisp air and falling leaves that makes me happy. I thought I’d share with you some ways that I’m getting ready for the season. Pumpkin Spice Latte.  I think this is one of things that you either love or hate.  I happen to love it.  I’m one of those girls who will take a picture of her first Starbucks’ pumpkin spice latte and post it on social media.  Cliche, I know, but did it really happen if I …

Chicken Spaghetti Casserole

Holy cow, it’s September. If life has gotten more hectic (or you just live for easy meals 365 days a year like I do) then this post is a must read.  I initially made this meal for my sister and her family a couple of months ago.  I put it together in a disposable pan and froze it.  All she needed to do was to defrost it and pop it in the oven.  Before I froze it, my husband and I sneaked a bite (we had to make sure it wasn’t poisonous) and oh my it was so tasty.  My …
