Christmas 2017

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!  I love the spirit, the traditions, the lights, the decorations, and especially the Christmas tree.  Every year I start to decorate our home during Thanksgiving week.  I like to have the decorations up early to get into holiday spirit.  (Come January 2nd I’m ready to put everything away though.) For the entryway, I used a mixture of faux and live wreaths. I love the look of a simple live wreath with beautiful ribbon.  It’s also a bonus that it’s budget friendly (especially when you buy the ribbon on sale). I took the below picture at …

Holiday Entertaining

Happy Monday!  (Although, can it really be happy if it’s a Monday?  😉 )  I don’t usually post on Mondays but there is a whole lot of Christmas goodness going on and I have a lot to share with you. 10 Favorite Holiday Cookie Recipes

Christmas is in full swing in our house.  I’ve been watching holiday movies since October 27 (because that’s when the Hallmark Channel starts their Countdown to Christmas) and listening to Christmas music whenever I can.  I started decorating the house a couple of weeks ago and now I’m just adding a few finishing touches.  I’ve been to the Michael’s store more times in the past two weeks than I have all year. Pumpkin Cheesecake

There was a day when I didn’t care about cracks on top of a cheesecake. My husband has made this pumpkin cheesecake a few times (before my blogging days) and we’re pretty confident that it cracked then too and yet we continued to make it again and again.  Why?  It’s out of this world delicious.  We loved it.  Our families loved it.  We’ve never made any other kind of pumpkin cheesecake because there is no need to try any other when you’ve found one that tastes as good as this one.  Plus, it’s easy to make. I debated on whether …

Chocolate Crumb Doughnuts

Happy Saturday, guys! I don’t usually post on the weekends.  I had planned on posting last night but someone got sidetracked shopping at The Home Goods store for Christmas decorations.  😉  Boy, the store was a mob scene, but I’m glad that I went because I wanted to see what they had before it got picked over.  It’s the kind of store that’s a hit or a miss but I’m happy to say that the crowds and long line was worth it because I did get a few things.  I’ll be sharing some sneak peaks on instagram and twitter before …
