I think this is going to be one of my favorite recipes of 2017. I might be speaking prematurely since it’s only the middle of January but I’m not kidding around when I say that that I’m in love with this breakfast. French toast… chocolate hazelnut spread… banana… powdered sugar! Need I say more? Well, I will anyway. 😉 We’ve made French toast a number of times over the past month or so. And by “we” I mean my husband. He’s the chef when it comes to weekend breakfasts. He’s also the one responsible for making this Italian bread too. …

Dark Chocolate Chip Nut Cookies
Cookies are always a good idea. I’m sure I’ve said that a bazillion times, but it’s true. A few weeks ago we went to Lake George, NY with my entire family. It’s an annual family tradition. Everyone asks us to bring cookies so that’s become part of the annual tradition. My husband made chocolate macadamia white chip cookies and these dark chocolate chip nut cookies. We’ve made chocolate chip cookies many times for Lake George. Although last year we forgot them at home (and my family still brings that up today). Anyway, since the chocolate chip cookies are always a HUGE hit my husband wanted to make …
Chocolate Macadamia White Chip Cookies
When your husband volunteers to bake cookies you take him up on the offer. I love making cookies and it’s probably my favorite food to make. I mean it’s cookies, hello? Anyway, I didn’t mind at all when my husband said he’d like to whip up a batch (or two, hint hint). If you’re familiar with my blog then you know that he’s not a stranger to the kitchen. His specialty is making bread. He’s made every yeast bread recipe on Tina’s Chic Corner (i.e. Dave’s Bread Corner). That’s convenient since he enjoys making it and I’m afraid to. Forgive me for there being …
Pumpkin French Toast
How would you like pumpkin pie for breakfast, without actually eating pie? (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.) My husband and I enjoyed some great meals while we were on vacation. (The extra pounds that I’m carrying now are proof.) After all, on vacation nothing has calories, right? While staying at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, my husband ordered brioche french toast at the Aria Cafe and it was divine. The food blogger in me and the bread maker in my husband immediately think that we to try to replicate this dish this back at home. As soon as we …
Challah Bread
Holla for Challah! Challah Bread is uh-mazing. Let’s see… It’s a bread, it’s a tad sweet, and it looks gorgeous. Yeah, it’s just freaking amazing. I have to admit that my husband and I had ulterior motives for making Challah. It’s a secret… until you see it Friday’s post. Any guesses? Until then, don’d mind me if I take a slice or two and smear some butter on it. Mmm carbs. Mmm butter. Heaven. My husband has made a lovely 3 strand braid Cardamom Bread. In fact, he’s made it more times than I can count. Challah bread usually comes in …
