Oatmeal Cookies

Are you ready to meet the best oatmeal cookie ever?  Cue the dramatic music. 😉 I’ve made a variety of oatmeal cookies.  Some recipes were crap and you’ll never see those here (because I won’t waste your time).  Other recipes were great and I still like them for one reason or another.  For example, if you’re looking for a banana oatmeal cookie then the whole wheat banana oatmeal cookies are awesome. However, I had yet to find a good classic oatmeal cookie.  You know, the good old fashion kind with oats and raisins.  No cutting back on butter and sugar.  And …

Chicken Lo Mein

Are you looking for an easy week night dinner?  If you are, and it’s not cereal, then I might have an idea for you.  🙂 It seems like I’m always looking for new dinner recipes.  Maybe it’s because I get bored easily, unless it’s pizza, because pizza is always a good idea. I was excited when I found this recipe because it looked easy and delicious.  Plus, I was excited when I realized that I had all of the ingredients with exception of the chicken.  I’m not exactly a fan of chicken, but there are exceptions, like this chicken lo …

Mini M&M Cookies

Cookies are always a good idea.  If you read my blog you’ve probably heard me say that before. Last Sunday, I celebrated Greek Orthodox Easter.  There was SO much food and it was all so delicious.  Easter is my favorite holiday when it comes to food.  My mom makes traditional Greek dishes like pastitsio, spanakopita, lamb, potatoes, and tzatziki.  I’ve been known to make a pretty mean pastitsio and spanakopita, too.  😉 Tsoureki (Easter bread)  and koulourakia (Easter cookies) are two of my favorite things of all time.  All time.  I’m rationing out the last few kouralakia that my mom gave me to try to …

M&M Sugar Cookie Bars

Who has leftover Easter candy? We have a boat load of pastel colored M&Ms.  I don’t know exactly how much a boat load is but it sounds like a lot.  Last week I wanted a normal size bag of M&Ms but the grocery store only had the ginormous size available.  The only downside with having leftover candy is that I want to sneak an M&M (or a few) whenever I pass by the bowl of them on the kitchen counter.  Is that really a downside?  😉 My husband and I spent Easter day with his family.  I like to give …

Roasted Chicken, Potatoes and Salad

Happy Friday! I’m excited to share today’s recipe with you because it’s not often that I find a chicken recipe that is worthy of blogging about.  I’m super picky about the texture and taste of chicken.  If I get a gristly bit or it tastes too chicken-y then I don’t want it.  I basically turn into a 5 year old and say that I never want chicken again.  In reality it’s just a few days or weeks before I give chicken another chance, but I’m always worried about what will skeeze me out next with chicken. Anyway, now that I’m …
