Scones are always a good idea. I have never made lemon scones before so I thought that I should do something about that. I started by using my trusty base scone recipe, which I shared with you guys last year. It’s become my go-to scone recipe because it’s delicious and easy to alter for almost any flavor that you want. There is NO lemon extract going on here. It’s actually a forbidden ingredient in our home because quite frankly we find it tastes gross, smells gross, and really mostly reminds us of bathroom cleaner. The key to having a great …

Best… Scones… Ever
Here’s the fourth installment in my Best Ever series! What’s it all about? Click here to get all the deets. Today I’m sharing with you the Best… Scones… Ever. I’m specifically talking about the base of the scone mix. I’ve used many scone recipes and some of them were awesome enough to be included on my blog. Petite Vanilla Scones
These little vanilla scones are supposed to be a copycat of the Starbucks’ petite vanilla bean scone. The question that I always ask with copycat recipes is “Does this really taste like the original?” See below for my exciting conclusion. When I saw this recipe I instantly thought of two things. One, they are scones… hello, of course I want to make them. Two, they are smaller than the average sized scone so that means that I can eat one and not feel guilty (or that’s what I keep telling myself). My husband points out that being smaller also makes …
Peach Blueberry Scones With Spice Frosting
It’s about half way through summer and I’m already starting to crave autumn-ish foods. I don’t know if that’s because I’m getting tired of summer foods or because I love the foods typically eaten in the autumn. I thought I’d whip up something to combine the best of both seasons. These scones are loaded with peaches and blueberries and covered with a spice frosting. Peach Blueberry Scones With Spice Frosting Recipe (Makes 16 scones) Ingredients for Spice Frosting: 1 and 1/2 cups powdered sugar 2 tablespoons butter, room temperature 1/4 teaspoon allspice 7 teaspoons milk Ingredients for Scones: 1 cup sour …
