Boozy Iced Mocha

Happy Friday!  It’s been a long and cold week so let’s celebrate with a cocktail.

Boozy Iced Mocha07

I’m not one for after dinner drinks and by that I mean I don’t like most of them.  However, if you give me a chocolate one then I’m all in.  Of course.  Are you surprised?  I mean, I am a chocoholic.   The chocolate liqueur by Godiva is simply magnificent.  Put it on the rocks and I’m a happy girl.

I wanted to take the chocolate liqueur to another level and that’s where this fun drink comes in.  Picture a boozy combination of iced coffee and iced hot cocoa.  Boom.  Boozy iced mocha.

How cool is this ice cube sphere?  My husband has an amusing fascination with interesting ice cubes.  Some are giant, others have fun shapes, heck, he even has a set that are made of stone.  (Is that still even technically ice?)  Unfortunately, while this massive spherical ice cube is super cool (heh, ice, cool, get it?) it was too much ice to fit all the liquids in this glass.

Of course a drink has to be delicious in order for me to share it with you, but it also has to be pretty.  I love the milky white in contrast to the dark coffee and chocolate liqueur color.  This is definitely a drink to impress the guests (or me, if I’m having a night cap to end a long week)!

Cheers to it being almost the weekend!

  7. Yum, this looks so good! I love interesting ice cube trays too, I have a sphere one as well! Only problem is, I only have the one tray that makes about 20 at a time so takes a while to make enough if I want to impress people at parties haha!

    1. Tina says:

Lol… same here! I need to start making batches of the sphere ice cubes ahead of time and then put the frozen ones in a zip lock bag to have enough for a party. It’s worth it though because it’s always a crowd pleaser. 🙂
