Happy Fall, a.k.a. my favorite time of the year! Here’s the Stuff I’m Into lately.
Plaid. I never cared for plaid printed clothes and accessories. I guess I thought it just wasn’t my style. Last winter I felt like I wore the same 3 sweaters (and I’m pretty sure that I did) so I knew I had to step up my game. I’ve previously mentioned that I am following some awesome fashion bloggers. They have been a great source of inspiration and now with Fall in full swing, plaid has been all over my instagram feed. Guess what? Now I love plaid.
Recently I bought a few plaid shirts, like this Stoosh plaid shirt, BP gingham shirt, and Express plaid boyfriend shirt (which my dad lovingly refers to as my lumberjack shirt). I’m especially excited about this A&F plaid flannel shirt. It is so soft and comfy. I miiiiight go back and buy another color, or 2. I bought it a size bigger than what I normally wear so I could get that oversized looked. It’s a must-have this Fall.
You know you have a problem when your sister tells you, “Enough buying plaid stuff.” Is there such thing as too much plaid though? 😉
Olive Green. I’m so glad that this color is on trend for Fall because I’m obsessed with it… always have been and probably always will be. I think that’s because my dad was in the Army and, well, I guess you just like what you see around the house as a kid almost automatically.
I have an olive green cargo blazer but it’s old and I’ve pretty much worn out so I’ve been on the hunt for a replacement. There are a lot of options out there to fit your needs and price range, which is awesome. I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for but I finally just found this one from Forever 21. It hasn’t been cold enough here in CT to wear it yet but I can’t wait!
I think everyone needs the quintessential quilted vest in their closet and I bought it in… of course… olive green.
I wasn’t looking for a camo jacket but when I saw this one from Forever 21 I knew that I had to have it. My dad was with me when I picked it out and he’s loved the cargo trend for years. He’s a West Point graduate so that totally makes sense. Who knew he was ahead of the fashion trend? 😉
Camo print is everywhere. I’ve seen pants, scarves, bags, hats, you name it, and it’s all fun… just as long as you don’t wear it all at the same time.
What fashion trends are you looking forward to this Fall?
Apple Pie. Apple pie in the form of an English muffin… is a genius idea. Well done, Thomas. They are seriously delicious.
Candles. Who doesn’t love a good candle or 20, especially this time of the year? Bath & Body Works has a huge collection and you can actually smell the scent when you burn them (yes, I’ve had scented candles that were so wimpy you couldn’t even tell they were scented). I bought a couple from their Fall collection which I love. I’m also a huge fan of their hand soaps too.
Ciao for now!
