Buddha Bowl

What’s a Buddha bowl? A few months ago, my baby sister and I spent the day shopping and we ate at The Granola Bar.  I ordered, what they call, a Buddha bowl.  It’s warm quinoa topped with an egg and a side of sautéed kale and mushrooms, fresh sliced tomatoes, and avocado.  It was fantastically delicious.  Of course the food blogger in me wanted to re-create the meal at home so this recipe is my version of it. Aside from the basic ingredients that I mentioned, I was left wondering how exactly did they make it all taste so darn good?  What magical sauce did …

Iced Pumpkin Coffee Cake

And just like that, it’s already November. On November 1st the mall was already decorated for Christmas and some people have already posted pictures on social media that their house is decorated for Christmas.  I have to admit that that totally stresses me out.  It makes me feel like I’m behind on my holiday shopping and decorating.  Does anyone else feel that way?  I’m determined to enjoy these last days of Fall and ignore those early birds (or try to). Oatmeal Latte

I’ve got the perfect breakfast to start your Fall morning. Before I get to the breakfast, let’s talk about the elephant in the room.  I took a little break from blogging.  My husband and I vacationed in Colorado for 10 glorious days and we had an amazing time.  I’m still working on the blog post to share all the deets with you guys and hopefully I’ll have that ready soon. When we got back from vacation I had every intention of jumping right back into blogging but I just wasn’t feeling it.  This is the first time in four years …

This meal is part egg in a bread/hole (depending on what you call it), part avocado toast, and …

Chocolate Chip Scones

What makes brunch so fabulous? Perhaps brunch is popular because it’s an event where it’s socially acceptable to drink champagne before noon.  Maybe you love it because it’s a good way to have breakfast, lunch and dessert at the same meal.  Think of brunch like a diner where you can order a turkey sandwich with fries while your husband has french toast.  It also means you can have dessert more than once in just one day.  I think that might be the best part.  #sweetjunkie If you’re hosting a brunch (like for Easter this Sunday), then scones are a must have addition.  Just …
