10 Favorite Holiday Cookie Recipes

Christmas is in full swing in our house.  I’ve been watching holiday movies since October 27 (because that’s when the Hallmark Channel starts their Countdown to Christmas) and listening to Christmas music whenever I can.  I started decorating the house a couple of weeks ago and now I’m just adding a few finishing touches.  I’ve been to the Michael’s store more times in the past two weeks than I have all year. I do seem to be falling behind in my cookie baking though.  Usually by this time I have at least a couple of batches of cookies baked and …

Entertaining for the Holidays

My husband and I host some dinner parties for family and friends during the holidays.  There’s something special about sharing our home when it’s decorated for Christmas.  I’ve recently shared with you how we decorated our bedroom, family room and foyer so now I’ll share the with you the room that we do most of our entertaining in. I arranged some faux branches to make this arrangement.  It took me three attempts before I was sort of happy with it.  You can’t really tell from the photo but it’s got sparkles on the leaves.  Pretty much everything I bought has glitter on it so needless to say I …

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

No Christmas is complete without crinkled cookies. Can you believe this is the first year that I’ve ever made a crinkle cookie?  I’m stunned.  I’ve made about a bazillion cookies and the crinkly ones never seemed to make the cut.  I’ve been missing out.  No mas. First of all these cookies are mad easy to make.  I don’t know about you but I could do with a little easy in my life, especially this time of the year and also especially when I’ve been making more complicated cookies. These are beautifully covered in my precious (aka powdered sugar) so of …
