Italian Ricotta Cookies

Are you eating cookies for breakfast, lunch and dinner? This time of the year you’re baking cookies to give away (or to keep for yourself) or receiving cookies or both so it’s definitely socially acceptable to consume cookies all day long. ¬†ūüėČ ¬†The question is what will we eat when the holidays are over? ¬†Oh right, salads and smoothies. ¬†You know, because my New Year’s resolution will be to lose weight. ¬†Again. ¬†Until then, I’ll happily eat all the cookies I can get my hands on, including these cookies. These Italian ricotta cookies are one of the best cookies I’ve …

Our Home for Christmas

I love decorating our home for Christmas. ¬†Every year I do things slightly differently. ¬†You may recognize some of the decorations from last year or the year before, but I also bought some new things from Michael’s¬†store and Pottery Barn. This year I went with a mostly white wintry theme. This year marks the third year in our home. ¬†Every ¬†year my husband and I get our tree on Thanksgiving weekend. ¬†That was a tradition that started with my family when I was kid. ¬†Nothing beats that smell of fresh pine. ¬†Every ornament has a memory or story associated with it, even the ones …

2015 Holiday Gift Guide

Last year I shared a list of some of my favorite things that I can‚Äôt live without in the kitchen.¬† This year I thought I‚Äôd share¬†a¬†list of great gift ideas, outside the kitchen arena. ¬†Grab some coffee… are you ready? For the homebody.¬† My parents used to buy me slippers every year for Christmas.¬† Then about two years ago my husband bought me these Ugg Australia slippers.¬† I wear them all year long.¬† Seriously, even if it‚Äôs 90 degrees out, I‚Äôm still sporting them in the house.¬† They are a bit pricey for slippers, but they are mad comfy and …
