Greek Coffee

After years of trial and error I have finally perfected making Greek coffee and I’m sharing all my secrets with you. (But I suppose that means they are not secrets anymore.) For those of you not familiar with Greek coffee, it’s prepared in a little pot with a long handle and pouring spout (called a briki). Greek coffee (which is similar to Turkish coffee) is made with strong, very finely ground coffee grounds and it’s not filtered. The result is a small cup of coffee that will definitely put a spring in your step and that you should avoid slurping …

Frozen Margaritas

I’ve got the perfect cocktail to celebrate the beginning of summer. I am a wine or gin and tonic kind of girl. Margaritas? To be honest, it’s not really my drink of choice. Cafe Frappe Redux

This cafe frappe is an oldie but goodie. I originally shared this cafe frappe recipe back in 2013 and I wanted to share it again for a couple of reasons. Strawberry Smoothie

I haven’t made a smoothie in ages and now I’m addicted to this one. This strawberry smoothie is one of the simplest smoothies that I’ve ever made. I think for a while there I wanted to add every healthy ingredient I had into one glass. There is some banana going on too, but I don’t taste it. The frozen banana makes the smoothie thick. Plus it makes it more filling, which is obviously a …

Berry Kiwi Smoothie

Happy New Year! I’m back to my normal eating habits, which means that my holiday cookie diet is over.  It’s a shame because a cookie diet is the only diet that I seem to be able to stick with.   😉  I could never give up sweets because I love them so much, so I’m all about moderation.  I try to eat healthy during the week and splurge a little on the weekends. Smoothies are one of my go-to healthy meals.  I’ve shared a variety of them with you on my blog and now I’m adding this new pretty one to the list.  …
