Cafe Frappe Redux

This cafe frappe is an oldie but goodie. I originally shared this cafe frappe recipe back in 2013 and I wanted to share it again for a couple of reasons. First, I really, really, really hate the original pictures and wanted new ones for the blog. Second, and more importantly, it’s so dang good and it’s worth highlighting again. I figure with the warm weather starting up that it would be a great time to share it. Although to be fair, I drink this 365 days a year. A cafe frappe is a Greek iced coffee with a layer of …

Strawberry Smoothie

I haven’t made a smoothie in ages and now I’m addicted to this one. This strawberry smoothie is one of the simplest smoothies that I’ve ever made. I didn’t even know that one could make iced tea at home until my husband showed me a few years ago.  I’m not sure why I was that naive because you can pretty much make anything at home.  Nevertheless, I learned something new and I haven’t bought a tub iced tea powder since then.  I really thought iced tea just came from big tubs with little plastic scoops in them. It’s a staple in our home all summer long and I made the first batch …

3 Ingredient Banana Smoothie

It’s time to kick it up a notch. Spring has sprung officially, but thankfully it’s not warm enough in CT to wear shorts yet.  Am I the only one who gets anxiety wearing shorts for the first time of the season?  Anyone?  Just me?  Maybe you can’t go by me since I don’t like wearing shorts.  Anyway, the reality is I need to kick those winter pounds so I’ve stepped up my workout game.  I’m sore (a lot) and I’m excited that I’m trying something new.  Workout.  Check.  Food… well, that’s a work in progress.  I love food so it’s …
