Stuff I’m Into: Beach Essentials

Here’s a list of my beach side/pool essentials: Sunscreen.  I’m a fanatic when it comes to protecting my skin so I lather up with lots of sunscreen. I’ve been using Banana Boat Sport sunscreen for years and love it because it’s not greasy or “lotion-y” feeling. I also use Aveeno sunscreen for my face.  You can certainly use the Banana Boat on your face but I prefer using something that is specifically designed for the face.  I don’t think that’s strictly necessary.  My husband uses Banana Boat on his face and it works just fine. I also use Banana Boat sunscreen lip balm because my lips …

Stuff I’m Into: July 4th Inspiration

Happy Monday!  I’m already thinking about the upcoming weekend because it’s a holiday weekend and that means two things.  It’s a weekend full of parties and BBQ food (i.e. pig out weekend) and it’s a three day weekend!  There is nothing that sucks about that. I’ve put together some of my favorite food, fashion, and decor ideas for the July 4th celebration.  I hope you guys enjoy! Stuff I’m Into: Road Trip Essentials

Who else is excited for the upcoming holiday three day weekend?  A lot of us are planning road trips so I thought that this would be a great time to share with you what I think are the road trip essentials. [T-shirt / Jeans / Leopard flats] Comfort chic outfit.  Wearing comfy clothes is key and a classic t-shirt and jeans (or jean shorts) does the trick for me.  Not only is that comfort at its finest moment but it’s an easy outfit to put together.  Plus it’s a great casual look if you’re meeting up with people at your destination.  (In …

Stuff I’m Into: Getting Summer Ready

Memorial Day is right around the corner and that means the unofficial start of Summer is almost here.  I’m getting anxious for Summer since it’s been a cool Spring. Here’s how I’m getting ready for Summer: Summer Foods.  Bye, bye heavy comfort foods and hello, fresh fruits and veggies.  I especially can’t wait for corn on the cob to make an appearance at the grocery store.  It’s one of my favorites so I apologize in advance if I make a ton of recipes with corn in them.  This corn guacamole is one of my favorite appetizers and would be a great …
