M&M Cookies

M&M candies are near and dear to my heart.  My husband and I love chocolate and most people love it too so we thought that it would be awesome to hand out personalized M&Ms on our wedding day.  They were grey and white, marked with our names and wedding date. They were so cute!  Now every time I see or eat M&Ms I always think back to our perfect day.     🙂 When I saw the red and green M&Ms at the store, nostalgia set in and I knew I had to incorporate them into my holiday baking.  I …

Almond Biscotti

I like biscotti, but I won’t go out of my way to eat one.  I’m also not a fan of almond flavoring. (Great selling points, Tina.  I’m going somewhere with this, trust me).  Why did I make these almond biscotti?  I made them for my dad, who is a huge fan of almond biscotti and I knew he’d love them with his morning coffee. You know what the nice surprise was though?  The rest of my family and I fell in love with them too.  In fact, my youngest sister wanted to bake them for her boyfriend.  She came over …

Oreo Truffles

I’m sure most of you have heard of Oreo truffles.  If not, they are truffles made out of…wait for it, Oreo cookies.  I first made them about eight years ago and they were a huge hit.  I’ve been racking my brain, trying to think of how to put a creative spin on this classic recipe.  I must have given my husband 15 options and then he finally asked my why I would change something that’s already delicious.  Hmmm.  Occupational hazard of a food blogger, I suppose.  I’m always trying to be creative and share recipes that stand apart from others. …

Eggnog Frappuccino

If you know me then you know I’m a kind of obsessed with coffee.  I’m also a huge fan of eggnog so it only made sense that I try to combine both loves into one fabulous iced beverage. This is my home made version of Starbucks’ Eggnog Frappuccino.  However, you don’t need to spend a lot of money on it and you don’t need any fancy syrups.  You only need a few simple ingredients to enjoy this holiday twist on a frappuccino. Eggnog Frappuccino Recipe (Serves 1) Ingredients: 1 heaping tablespoon instant coffee (I used Nescafe) 1/2 cup water 1 …

Bakery Style XL Peanut Butter Cookies

I’ve made three batches of these peanut butter cookies in the past few months!  This is a story of loving a cookie, making it for everyone I know, and being utterly unimpressed with my pictures of them.  Over and over.  I have to admit part of my motivation to keep making these was pictures that weren’t worthy of posting (occupational hazard of a food blogger).  I figured that if I kept trying I would eventually be happy with the pixels I managed to capture.  Well this is it.  Finally everyone gets to see my pictures and eat these cookies. My …
