It’s been a while since I chatted about my fitness routine and it’s such a big part of my life that I thought I’d share with you what I’ve been up to.
What I’m doing:
I change my workout routine to keep it interesting, and also based on the season. Back in August I got back to running. I tend to only run when I can do it outside because the treadmill is SO boring for me. With daylight savings time over, it’s pretty much dark all the freakin time. I don’t like to run in the dark. That means I’m headed back to the gym.
Even though I like to switch things up, one thing I have been very consistent about is doing Kayla Itsine’s BBG workout. I’ve been doing it since March and I have noticed that I’m stronger than when I started. With her plan, you do three 28 minute workouts per week. She gives a wide variety of routines so it changes a lot and doesn’t seem as boring.
Kayla does recommend adding other workouts into your schedule, which is where my running and trips to the gym come in. I have a love hate relationship with BBG because it’s mad hard (you make it as hard as you can, that’s probably why it works). I love the way I feel after I’m done and I plan to continue with it.
What I’m into:
I bought these Phaiser wireless earbuds a couple of weeks ago and I love them. I’ve never used wireless buds before so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Also, I’ve never owned any other brand of wireless earbuds so I cannot compare these to others.
The price is right. If I didn’t like them then I knew I wasn’t breaking the bank. My priority was that they be comfortable and don’t move when I’m bouncing around. It took a couple of days to get used to the way they feel in my ears, but I do think that they are comfortable. Best of all, they do not move at all. I think that they are light weight. I’ve used them about 10 times so far and I have not had to charge them yet, so the battery life seems great. The back side of the earbuds are magnetic and the wire doesn’t bunch up into a knot, which is a good thing because I hate untangling wires. (To clarify, they are “wireless” in that they connect to my phone without a wire, but the two earbuds are wired together.) I think the the sound quality is good, although I’m sure it might not be as good as some other higher end brand names. (But they were roughly 1/4th the price of most of the big names.) Overall, I’m very pleased with them. (By the way, I’m not getting paid to say this and I bought them with my own money, which goes for everything in this post.)
These Nike sneakers are the sneakers that I reach for every time I go running. I own them in two colors because I love them that much. I’ve talked about them on the blog before but I wanted to mention them again since they are my go-to sneaker (still).
I bought this Adidas cap for our trip to Omaha, Nebraska to see the solar eclipse (to help shade myself from the hot sun). I reach for it almost every time I go running to help keep the sun out of my eyes and off my face. Of course it’s cute too. Function and fashion can go hand in hand. 😉
Happy Friday and I hope you all have a great weekend!
Thanks for the Phaiser Wireless Earbuds suggestion. At that price I won’t feel bad about giving them away if I hate them! iPhone earbuds are way too big so I am always searching for something that is smaller and stays in better. Since I mostly listen to Audio Books and podcasts, the sound quality is secondary. The reviews on these are great.
I’m so glad you found this helpful! I couldn’t decide what to do & I liked that there were so many good reviews on these. I thought the same as you… for that price I didn’t have much to lose. I do kind of feel like I look like Frankenstein when I wear them. Lol. It’s hard to imagine that all the other options I looked at were bigger & heavier. I also like how the earbuds come with several sizes & shapes of tips so you have options depending on what you like.
I hope you like them if you decide to buy them! Thanks for stopping by!
