What better way to say thank you to someone than with cookies and coffee? The other day I mentioned to you that my best friend and her family were coming up for a visit and that my parents were also coming over at some point to help build some shelves for my shoe closet. Well, things didn’t go exactly as I had planned. (I can hear my husband say that that’s why I shouldn’t plan so much.) My friend’s daughter came down with the flu so we postponed their visit. Corn Guacamole

This is my first time making guacamole. Holy guacamole… I bet that’s the first time you’ve ever heard that one. 😉 I buy plenty of avocados. I patiently wait for them to ripen. (Patiently… lol… I’m funny.) Then I cut them open and… eat them immediately with a little salt and pepper. Summer is practically here. I realized that every summer since I started this blog, I’ve posted about a refreshing beverage… one that I’m obsessed over. TGIF… and it’s a long weekend! Most people are gearing up for the start of BBQ season this weekend, getting the hamburgers, hot dogs, and various BBQ fixings ready.
