I’ve made three batches of these peanut butter cookies in the past few months! This is a story of loving a cookie, making it for everyone I know, and being utterly unimpressed with my pictures of them. Over and over. I have to admit part of my motivation to keep making these was pictures that weren’t worthy of posting (occupational hazard of a food blogger). I figured that if I kept trying I would eventually be happy with the pixels I managed to capture. Well this is it. Finally everyone gets to see my pictures and eat these cookies. My …

Bow-tie Chicken Alfredo
Who’s rushing around trying to bake and buy gifts for the holidays? Oh, pick me, pick me! I have even less time than normal, so dinners must be a quick fix (otherwise we’ll just have cereal, not that there is anything wrong with that). This pasta and chicken dish is covered in a rich alfredo sauce. It looks like something right out of a restaurant, but I whipped it up fast in the comfort of my own kitchen. Bow-tie Chicken Alfredo Recipe (About 6 servings) Ingredients: 12 ounces bow-tie pasta, uncooked 4 tablespoons butter, divided per the directions 2 whole …
Pumpkin Pie
The race is on! Thanksgiving is done (for those of you who just celebrated it) and it’s a mad dash to the finish line for the winter holidays. However, I’d like to take this moment to slow down and marvel at what I enjoyed over Thanksgiving, like this awesome pumpkin pie. This pie is a classic pumpkin pie at its finest with all its glorious spices. Pumpkin Pie Recipe (10 inch pie, about 8 servings) Ingredients: 1 layer of pie crust (homemade or store-bought), uncooked 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1 cup white sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/2 …
Mint Mocha Frappuccino
“I feel the need”…”the need for speed.” Can you guess what movie those lines are from? I love playing this game. 😉 (See below for the answer). I’m furiously decorating the tree and the house for Christmas. (Yes, we are one of those who got our tree the weekend before Thanksgiving since it’s so late this year. Don’t judge us. 😉 ) I needed a little pick-me up. Coffee to the rescue! I wanted a coffee with some holiday flair to it, to match my festive mood, more than the standard Cafe Frappe (aka Greek iced coffee). Candy …
Pasta With Tomato Cream Sauce
I can’t believe it’s Thanksgiving this week. Where did the year go? If you’re like me, you’re running around trying to get things ready around the house, whether you’re hosting or visiting for the holiday. My husband and I are going to my parents’ house for Thanksgiving day and to my husband’s mom’s house the day after. I’m in charge of bringing dessert so I’ve been baking my heart away this past weekend. Since I’m short on time (more than usual) I needed to whip up dinner quickly and I wanted something that didn’t resemble turkey and trimmings (because I …
