There was a day when I didn’t care about cracks on top of a cheesecake. My husband has made this pumpkin cheesecake a few times (before my blogging days) and we’re pretty confident that it cracked then too and yet we continued to make it again and again. Why? It’s out of this world delicious. We loved it. Our families loved it. We’ve never made any other kind of pumpkin cheesecake because there is no need to try any other when you’ve found one that tastes as good as this one. Plus, it’s easy to make. I debated on whether …

Chocolate Crumb Doughnuts
Happy Saturday, guys! I don’t usually post on the weekends. I had planned on posting last night but someone got sidetracked shopping at The Home Goods store for Christmas decorations. 😉 Boy, the store was a mob scene, but I’m glad that I went because I wanted to see what they had before it got picked over. It’s the kind of store that’s a hit or a miss but I’m happy to say that the crowds and long line was worth it because I did get a few things. I’ll be sharing some sneak peaks on instagram and twitter before …
Chickpea and Broccoli Rice
My social media feeds are full of Thanksgiving food pictures and I’m loving that. I don’t think I can get tired of seeing pictures of all the pies. Mmm pies. Plus, I think it’s kind of fun to see what people make for their families, whether it be a rendition of a classic dish or something non-traditional, like tacos. Obviously today’s post has nothing to do with Thanksgiving foods. If you’re like me then I figure you might like an idea of what to eat on the other 364 days of the year. 😉 This meal is a good example …
Friday Fitness
It’s been a while since I chatted about my fitness routine and it’s such a big part of my life that I thought I’d share with you what I’ve been up to. What I’m doing: I change my workout routine to keep it interesting, and also based on the season. Back in August I got back to running. I tend to only run when I can do it outside because the treadmill is SO boring for me. With daylight savings time over, it’s pretty much dark all the freakin time. I don’t like to run in the dark. That means …
Mmm Pies
How in the world is Thanksgiving already only two weeks away? Crazy talk. We all know that means it’s pie season. I’ve made a variety of pies over the years and I thought it was high time to showcase them all right here in one nifty spot. There are a couple items in the list that are barely pies, but they are still delicious. Apple Pie. This is the only apple pie recipe you’ll ever need because it’s that good. It’s a family recipe and I make it almost every Fall. Pumpkin Pie. This pie is THE dessert for Thanksgiving. …
