Where are all my peanut butter and chocolate lovers at? The other day I was flipping through my binder of recipes to look for some inspiration. I was never a fan of recipe cards so I used a binder instead. Do you remember the days before the internet was full of recipe pages and food blogs? Anyway, I came across this cookie recipe and I realized that it had been too long since I had last made them. So here I am making them for you. I definitely recommend buying more mini peanut butter cups than the recipe calls for. You …

Stuff I’m Into: 10 for $10
With Mother’s Day coming up I thought I’d do a roundup of some great low budget gift ideas. Each item is less than $10! You could also buy a bunch of them and place them in a decorative basket for your mom. 1. For anyone… Candles Candles are always a good idea. I’ve owed several scents from Bath and Body Works, including one of these mini candles. I’m a huge fan of their candles because they actually smell the same when you burn them as when you smell them in the store. 2. For the home decorator… Bud vases I own three …
Classic Rice Krispies Treats
Are you ready for a blast from the past? I’ve been wracking my brain to try to come up with a fun take on the original Rice Krispies treats recipe. (I blame the food blogger in me.) Nothing seemed to sound nearly as good as the originals. In fact, a few years ago I made triple chocolate Rice Krispies treats in an attempt to be creative with the cereal. They were tasty, but they were just not the same as the real deal. At the end of the day, I decided to put my creativity aside and go with making the recipe that …
Coconut Chocolate Chip Bars
I’m celebrating Friday with chocolate and coconut (not that I really need a reason to have chocolate). These bars are little squares of cakey goodness. But guess what? There is no wheat flour going on here. They are made with coconut “flour.” They get their sweetness from the coconut flakes, chocolate chips and maple syrup instead of piles of sugar. Crazy, right? Well to me it sort of is because I’m used to baking with flour, butter, and sugar. You know, all the fatty delicious food groups. In my continued efforts to get ready for short sleeves, shorts, and (gulp) bathing suits …
Stuff I’m Into: Hair Care
For the past couple of years I’ve been noticing that my hair is changing. I feel like it is frizzier and is thinning out. Is it my imagination? Is it because I’m getting older? Maybe it’s a little of both. Whatever the reason, this means to me that I need to switch up my hair care routine. I experimented with a lot of products and I finally found a routine that I’m happy with. Everyday routine when I wash my hair: I take Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails every day. They are fancy vitamins that are supposed to help, …
