Kourabiedes – Greek Christmas Butter Cookies (Without Nuts)

Happy Christmas Eve eve! (Yes, that’s a thing, at least in my family.) I made kourabiedes last Christmas, which are a traditional Greek cookie usually served at Christmas time. They are like a shortbread cookie with almonds and covered in confectioners sugar. This year I wanted to make a version of them without nuts for my family members who can’t eat nuts, so that’s what I’m sharing with you today. The recipe requires only 4 ingredients but it can be a little finicky to make. It took me a couple of tries to get the recipe just right. I have …

White Chocolate Chip Gingerbread Cookies

It’s that time of year! Cookies 24/7. I love baking cookies so I’m totally taking advantage of the holiday baking season and am baking up a storm. You know I mean business when our fridge consists of more cookie ingredients than “real food” ingredients. I’m starting off the holiday cookie season with these amazing cookies. Christmas 2020

Merry Christmas! I usually start decorating our home during Thanksgiving week, but this year I started even earlier. Maybe right after Halloween? Since our dining room has become puzzle central and we’re not entertaining …

Kourabiedes – Greek Christmas Cookies

I have one more cookie recipe you, just in time for Christmas. These cookies are a traditional Greek cookie served at Christmas time. They are like a shortbread cookie with almonds and covered in a lot of confectioners sugar. A lot. And I’m not just saying that because I’m obsessed with the stuff. It’s a Greek fact. These Christmas cookies do not have a lot ingredients in them, but like many recipes every family makes them slightly different. Depending on the recipe, some cookies don’t contain nuts. Some cookies have whiskey or ouzo (which I skipped). My mom makes these …

Christmas Sundaes with Miniature Gingerbread Man Cookies

If you add a little gingerbread man cookie to a bowl of ice cream then it makes your sundae instantly cuter. I wanted a quick and easy dessert to serve at some of the holiday dinners that we host this season.  Ice cream sundaes are always a hit (not to mention easy), so I thought I’d make sundaes but with a Christmas twist.  After all, ice cream is acceptable even if it’s 15 degrees F. I think these sundaes are all about these miniature gingerbread man cookies, which is why I wanted to give them credit in the title of …
