Rizogalo – Rice Pudding

Have you ever had rice pudding? I don’t mean store bought vanilla pudding with rice mixed in. I mean the real deal. There are a ton of rice pudding recipes out there but I’m partial to this recipe for several reasons. First, I like the texture. This is not a custard and not a porridge. Instead, this rice pudding is more like a bowl of rice with very thick and sweet milk. I’m not sure if that makes sense so hopefully my pictures give you a better idea of the texture. Second, it tastes delicious. It’s sweet but not too …

Christmas Sundaes with Miniature Gingerbread Man Cookies

If you add a little gingerbread man cookie to a bowl of ice cream then it makes your sundae instantly cuter. I wanted a quick and easy dessert to serve at some of the holiday dinners that we host this season.  Ice cream sundaes are always a hit (not to mention easy), so I thought I’d make sundaes but with a Christmas twist.  After all, ice cream is acceptable even if it’s 15 degrees F. I think these sundaes are all about these miniature gingerbread man cookies, which is why I wanted to give them credit in the title of …

Raspberry Cheesecake Brownie Pie

Guys, I’m obsessed with this dessert! This dessert is part pie, part brownie, part cheesecake, a touch of raspberry tart, and 100% heavenly. Yes, you really can get all of those delicious parts into one bite. I’ve always been a fan of the HGTV show, Fixer Upper. But lately, I’ve been slightly crazed for it, sort of binge watching it whenever I can. And by sort of, I mean that I’m totally watching it all the time. My husband likes the show but even he’s tired of seeing it on, and he’s not even actively watching it when it’s playing. …

Warm Chocolate Fudge Cakes

I’m celebrating my 6 year blog-iversary today! Six years?! I can’t believe it. This calls for a celebration with an extra fabulous recipe today. Last year I realized that I share a chocolate recipe for every anniversary so I’m continuing with the tradition. How would you like a warm chocolate fudge cake? That’s a rhetorical question. 😉 I’ve made a lot of chocolate goodies over the years. A lot. However, I’ve never made anything like these fudge cakes because I didn’t have the right size ramekins until a couple of weeks ago. You really need those for this recipe. They …

Apple Pie Crumble for Two

Guys, I have the most delicious mini dessert for you. My husband loves pies so I wanted to bake him some kind of pie for Valentine’s Day. I didn’t want to bake a normal size pie for just the two of us because I didn’t want an entire pie lingering around. Don’t get me wrong, pie is delicious, but my waistline would not be happy with me. These personal sized pies are SO delicious. My husband said that I should have made a normal size because he wanted to enjoy the leftovers. Womp, womp. I actually agree with him, but …
