Slow Cooker Taco Chicken Chili

Chili season is in full swing and I’ve got a new recipe for you. I don’t use a slow cooker often and by that I mean that we use it for one recipe, pea soup. So I’m trying to use it more for other recipes, which is where this taco chicken chili recipes comes in. The best part about this chili is that you don’t have to touch raw chicken. You put it, along with all of the other ingredients into your slow cooker and let it do the dirty work. I love that this chili option has chicken instead …

Cornbread (Redux)

I’ve been craving cornbread so here we are making my favorite recipe. I originally shared this cornbread recipe back in 2013. Side note, how is it that I’ve been blogging over 7 years?! Anyway. It’s still my favorite cornbread recipe and I wanted to share it again because it’s that good. Plus, it’s a bonus for me to have updated pictures. It’s my favorite cornbread because it’s moist but a tad crumbly (as cornbread should be). There is a hint of sweetness in this cornbread, which I love.  Some people don’t like the sugar because they feel like they are …

Individual Apple Crisps

I’m making individual sized desserts because that’s how I roll lately. I found this recipe early in the morning last weekend and they were just the thing I needed to perk up a rainy cool Autumn day. I was excited to see that I already had all of the ingredients so I busted them out and had the oven going before my husband was awake. These are definitely not a bad thing to wake up to and the kitchen smelled wonderful. I absolutely adore the smell of cinnamon and nutmeg and they are the perfect autumnal spices. Fill the ramekins …

Skillet Cabbage and Sausage

This is a quintessential Fall dinner. You only need 3 ingredients, a bag of coleslaw mix, sausage, and butter. (I’m not counting salt and pepper.) You can use whatever brand and flavor sausage you want, but I found that fully cooked sausages (chicken in my case) make it easier because you can slice them before you sear them. If you don’t get the fully cooked ones then that’s fine too but the meat inside the links will be raw and mushy so you’ll either get crumbled sausage or you’ll need to cook the whole link first before slicing them into …

Soft Pretzels

Homemade soft pretzels are awesome. Do you remember that I originally shared this recipe for soft pretzels back in 2014? I love them so much that I’m sharing them again. Yes, they are really worth highlighting again. Plus, I get to share the latest and greatest photos with you because my photography style has definitely changed in six years. However, this recipe has not changed because it’s still as great as it was back then. I want to give a big thank you to my husband because he made these pretzels. He’ll be the first to admit that these pretzels …
