Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Guys, this chicken is ridiculously delicious. If you know me or are familiar with my blog then you know that I’m not the biggest fan of chicken.  I won’t bore you with the details again, but just know where I’m coming from when I say that I’m blown away by this teriyaki chicken, especially because me and chicken don’t get along very well. This chicken is exactly what it sounds like.  You’re baking chicken in a homemade teriyaki sauce.  The sauce is amazing.  It’s a traditional sweet and salty Asian sauce with garlic and ginger.  I definitely recommend using fresh ginger …

Beef Tacos

I’m throwing a taco party. Seriously, doesn’t a taco party sound like so much fun?!  You can set up a buffet with a whole bunch of taco ingredients and let everyone make their own tacos.  We had a taco party for 2 at home this past weekend and the only thing missing was the loud music. Chocolate Chia Mousse

Have you ever cooked with chia seeds? I often add chia seeds to my smoothies. They contain healthy omega-3 fatty acids, protein, and a lot of other good stuff. When I took the first bite I quickly remembered that I did try it before and I didn’t like it. It turns out that I still don’t like it. It was boring and the seeds turn into a weird texture, almost slimy, when they sit …

Cold Sesame Noodles

This is a meatless lunch and I’m loving it. If you’re familiar with me or my blog then you know that I live for easy lunches that I can make ahead of time to bring to work. I’ve noticed that I eat healthier when I prep my lunches on Sunday before the busy week. I’d bet that many of you feel the same way as me. So today I have a new favorite lunch. I saw this recipe on Instagram a few months ago and I couldn’t wait to try it. It had my name written all over it. I …

How to Steam Broccoli Without a Steamer

My husband and I make this broccoli at least once a week. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve made this broccoli.  Seriously, too many times to count.  So to say it’s tested, tried and true is an understatement.  I never thought about sharing this as a recipe, because well, I don’t know why.  I think it may be just because it’s too easy and is too obvious to bother.  But aren’t easy recipes the best to share?  Yes.  So now I’m finally sharing it with you. This broccoli is nothing fancy, but it sure is tasty.  It’s a …
