Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread

I don’t like change. After about a year of careful thinking and planning I bought a new car.  To be honest with you, if I could have kept my 11 year old Honda CRV with 145,000 miles on it forever then I probably would have.  The reality is that I have a long commute to work, it was old, and it was time to upgrade.  Change can be a good thing, especially when it comes to buying a shiny new ride, except getting that new ride means that I had to make a big decision and I’m not good at that. Coconut Almond Smoothie

Hello Monday and hello new smoothie recipe. By show of virtual hands, are you a smoothie person?  I could drink a smoothie every day and be a happy camper.  (I could also eat a bagel every day and be in heaven, but I digress.)  My husband is not a fan of smoothies.  No biggie.  Thankfully it’s super easy to whip up a smoothie for one. Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars

Last week was a total bust on the blog front. We had eight straight days of clouds and/or rain which made me feel lazy and unmotivated. I did manage to push myself to try one new recipe but it was a flop so obviously I was not going to share it with you.  By the end of Wednesday I decided to write the week off. I was super productive over the weekend though.  My husband and I went car shopping.  (You know, test driving, sitting through salesman schpeals, etc.)  I hate car shopping but it didn’t turn out as bad …

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Where are all my peanut butter and chocolate lovers at? The other day I was flipping through my binder of recipes to look for some inspiration. I was never a fan of recipe cards so I used a binder instead.  Do you remember the days before the internet was full of recipe pages and food blogs?  Anyway, I came across this cookie recipe and I realized that it had been too long since I had last made them.  So here I am making them for you. I definitely recommend buying more mini peanut butter cups than the recipe calls for.  You …

Classic Rice Krispies Treats

Are you ready for a blast from the past? I’ve been wracking my brain to try to come up with a fun take on the original Rice Krispies treats recipe.  (I blame the food blogger in me.)  Nothing seemed to sound nearly as good as the originals.  In fact, a few years ago I made triple chocolate Rice Krispies treats in an attempt to be creative with the cereal.  They were tasty, but they were just not the same as the real deal.   At the end of the day, I decided to put my creativity aside and go with making the recipe that …
