Skillet Pasta And Chicken Parmesan

It’s been a busy few weeks.  If I’m busy now, then where will I find the time to fit in preparing for the holidays?  Yes, I’m already thinking about Christmas.  (Don’t hate me.)  #plannerextraordinaire This pasta is coated in a light tomato based sauce.  I like a little sauce on my pasta so I’m totally good with that.  My husband, on the other hand, likes A LOT of sauce, so if you’re like him then this meal might not be up your alley (just being honest). Usually my quick pasta dinners are vegetarian, but this quickie is a nice option for when you want …

Cauliflower Poppers

It’s football season and you know what that means… we need some kinda game food.  Let’s face it, even if you’re not into football, snacks and appetizers are always fun to eat, like these cauliflower poppers. Let me start by saying that these poppers do not have cheese in them (in case you are like my husband who thinks poppers = veggies and cheese). On to the business at hand.  Cauliflower.  I bought a head of cauliflower, having no particular recipe to use it in.  Since it’s one of my favorite veggies I knew I’d come up with some way …

Apple Cheese Danish

Pumpkin versus apple goodies… ah, the infamous Autumn food debate!  Do you have a favorite? You may think that baking a cheese danish is complicated.  You know because it looks all fancy dancy with its braid affect.  This one is really easy though, I promise.  I’ve even included step by step photos to prove it.  My husband likes loads and loads of detailed steps so I’ve decided to take a page from his book here. Hello gorgeous danish.  I’ve even impressed myself, which is a rare thing. This danish has the perfect ratio of dough to cheese filling to apples.  The cheese filling is creamy and perfectly sweetened.  It’s …

Chicken And Rice Enchilada Casserole

Mexican food.  Enchiladas.  Easy casserole. My husband and I are big fans of Mexican food so I tend to cook it often.  Even if I only have rice, beans, and a jar of salsa handy, I can always whip up something quick that vaguely imitates Mexican food.  It’s not fancy by any means, but it works for those days when we have a craving but I’m feeling lazy in the kitchen. You know what’s great about this enchilada casserole?  (Besides everything.)  You don’t have to make the enchilada sauce and you don’t have to roll tortillas.  Don’t get me wrong, there is a …

French Chic

Every room needs an inspiration piece, that one item in a room that inspires you to decorate around it.  For our guest bedroom, it was this French tapestry. This amazing tapestry was a recent gift to me.  It was bought in an antique shop in France.  I wonder who owned it before me?  A king and queen perhaps?     😉 I used neutral color colors for the bedding so that the focus is all on that beautiful tapestry.  Plus, I just love decorating in neutrals, anyway. Just look at that embroidery detail.  Gorgeous work. Yes, that’s a zebra print pillow.  It’s …
