Stuff I’m Into

Here’s the Stuff I’m Into lately:

Blogs.  I love, love, love Helene’s Plate to Pixel book.  I’ve probably read it three or four times and each time I pick up something new.  It’s the perfect book for a food blogger, especially to read on vacation because I think it helps me look at food in a different way, a fresh new way so to speak.  Helene’s blog, Tartelette, is amazing beyond belief and I could stare at her photos for hours.  She can make zested and juiced limes look gorgeous!  Talent times infinity.

Lindsey Stirling. My husband introduced me to this talented musician.  A few years ago, we went to her first concert ever.  I literally mean first ever because it was in a high school, the opening acts were horrible, some of the equipment didn’t work, and none of the planned visual effects worked at all.  However, we still enjoyed her performance.  Now she’s on a world tour and has over 675 million YouTube views. We just bought tickets to see her again in June and we can’t wait!

Spring Food Trends:

Pineapples.  I always crave pina coladas this time of the year.  After a long winter, who wouldn’t want to be on a beach sipping a tasty alcoholic beverage?  For a healthy virgin edition, I’m obsessed with my kick butt Pineapple Coconut Smoothie… Oh so good.

Spring Fashion Trends:

Pineapples.  I’m on the hunt for a new beach bag.  How cute is Kestrel’s Pineapple Picker Vinyl Tote?  Also, I love Tory Burch’s pineapple collection, especially her cosmetic cases.  Yes, I’m allowed to use pineapples twice.  🙂

I remember years and years ago my dad owned a shirt with pineapples all over it.  My sisters and I thought he was crazy for wearing it, but apparently he was just way ahead of his time in the fashion department.

Tassels.  Do you love it or hate it?  I think they’re hot.  I’m eyeing this tassel necklace and it’s only $18!  How about this Star Mela Mezzy clutch?  It’s a gorgeous, colorful embroidered clutch with a tassel detail… so fun.  (My husband on the other hand thinks they are stupid.)

Pastels.  Pastel colors are a classic fashion statement and are always on point this time of the year.  I bought this cream blouse from Ann Taylor Loft a few weeks ago.  I loved it so much that I just bought it in the mint color and I can’t wait to sport it this Spring!

I’m also loving this pastel colored Berry Geometric Print Clutch with Tassel.  It combines two fashion trends in one fabulous piece.  How coolio is that?!

Boho Chic.  I don’t mind the boho style as long as it looks like I’m in 2015 and not 1975.  Nordstrom has a great Boho collection.

What Spring trends are you into?
Ciao for now!

  1. Kinda jealous you are looking at the next many months of sunshine, warmth and pina coladas. Sigh! #imjelly

Not really into tassles, but I love pastels.

Hope you are well lovely and enjoying your week.

    Cheers,
    Anna 🙂

It’s only fair… I was jealous when I hit winter while you were posting pics in sunny, warm Australia. 😉

I completely agree with you on the book! I think I’ve read it at least three times as well and I always take something away from it!

I need to get my hands on some pineapple – you’ve got me craving a tropical smoothie!

    1. Tina says:

I’ve been a bit obsessed with pineapple lately so I feel like every smoothie I’ve made lately is a tropical version. I guess it’s a close second if I can’t actually be in the tropics. 😉

  3. I love her blog, the photography is stunning 🙂 That blouse is super cute!
