My Home Decorated for Christmas 2018

Christmas is less than one week away!  Holy cow December is flying by.  Here’s a peak into how I decorated my home for Christmas this year. I  kept the entry way very simple and used faux garland and greenery to give it a winter feel.  I’ve used live greenery before on the stair railing and it’s a royal pain in the tush and a total mess when I take it down.  Oddly enough, this is one of those situations where the real stuff is crazy expensive, and the fake stuff is too, but the fake stuff has the advantage that …

Guest Bedroom Essentials

How is Thanksgiving two weeks away?!  Are you hosting dinner?  Do you have guests staying overnight?  Since it’s officially hosting season I figure many of you are getting your guest bedroom ready for your guests so I thought that I’d share with you how I get my guest bedroom ready. 1. How to Throw a Bridal Brunch

My baby sister is getting married in less than 2 weeks!  Cue the tears (happy tears, of course).  A couple of weeks ago my sisters and I threw her bachelorette party.  We started the day with a brunch at my house (I’ll get more to that in a moment).  Then we went to The Hopkins Vineyard where we enjoyed a wine tasting.  Afterwards we enjoyed the beautiful scenery in their cafe with a bottle of wine and cheese platter.  If you’re ever in the area, we highly recommend you stop by.  Then we headed back to my house for a full on …

Easy Fall Kitchen Decor

Do you like to decorate your kitchen for a season or a holiday?  In general, I don’t like a lot of things on my kitchen counters, but I will add a few seasonal touches here and there.  Last month I found so many great items that I thought I’d do an overhaul and show you what my kitchen looks like for Fall. I bought the two white pumpkin pots from the Home Goods store to put one on each side of the stove.  I also bought the vase, small pedestal, and faux hydrangea at the same time, which will be great …
