Simple Winter Decor

Taking down the Christmas decorations is bitter sweet.  I’m glad that the task is done but I miss the Christmas tree lights and all of the fun decorations.  I struggle to decide when to take everything down for that same reason.  Leave them up longer and get sick of them or end up with pine needles literally everywhere, or take them down too early and miss them more than I probably should.  It’s a careful balance. Every January I also struggle with how to fill the space after I take everything down.  I want to leave the same joy in …

My Home Decorated for Christmas 2018

Christmas is less than one week away!  Holy cow December is flying by.  Here’s a peak into how I decorated my home for Christmas this year. This year marks the third year in our home.  Every  year my husband and I get our tree on Thanksgiving weekend.  That was a tradition that started with my family when I was kid.  Nothing beats that smell of fresh pine.  Every ornament has a memory or story associated with it, even the ones …
