Sugar Cookie Icing

Everyone needs a good sugar cookie icing recipe in their recipe collection.  I don’t make cut-out cookies often, but when I do the icing is a must for presentation points! This icing is sweet which makes it perfect to use with sugar cookies.  In fact, I would use this icing recipe with other cookies like gingerbread cookies.  You can customize the icing to any color you want.  Plus, initially its consistency is thin so that it’s easy to use for icing the cookies, but then it hardens up nicely. I am forever on a quest to be healthy, fit, and skinny.  Who isn’t?  So I’m always looking for healthy recipes, new exercises, and any other information that will help me succeed in this quest (a lifelong quest it seems). I loved the way they came out because they have a shiny sheen and bright orange color to them.  I would definitely bake them this away again in the future.  The orange slices look great in a bowl …

Wine Corks Decor

Wine is always present when my husband and I entertain, so we have quite the collection in our wine cellar.  I call it a “wine cellar”, but our wine collection is really in a series of racks in a corner of our unfinished basement.  I’ve always thought that wine corks were cool looking, especially when they are grouped together.   One day, many years ago, I saw that some stores were selling wine corks as a decor filler. What?!  I can get them for free if I collect them from our own wine bottles.  So, now each time we open …
