I’m obsessed with pineapples… and smoothies.
I’m sure you can relate to being into a certain food. What’s your latest food obsession? Easter candy, perhaps? You know who you are. 😉 That’s even more reason to hop on the smoothie bandwagon if you haven’t already.
Smoothies are where it’s at for me right now. I enjoy them for breakfast or snack. Heck, I’ll even enjoy one for dessert, sometimes, if there isn’t something more desserty around. It’s sort of like a sorbet… sort of… work with me here. 😉
Since my blog represents what’s going on in my life, I’m going to share another awesome recipe with you even though I posted one just a couple of weeks ago. If you’ve seen that Pineapple Coconut Smoothie, no, it’s not the same as this one. I can see why you might think that since they both have pineapple in them and they both have a tropical essence to them.
I usually make up my own concoction. Throw some fruit and yogurt in a blender… wammo blammo… smoothie. I share the awesome creations with you because that’s how I roll. 🙂
Anyway, I was looking online for some inspiration because I wanted a new smoothie combo and I found this tropical smoothie recipe. There are a bazillion smoothie recipes out there of the “tropical” variety. I’ve not tried them all (duh) but I can say that this one qualifies. All of the flavors just work here. Plus, it’s mad simple to whip up.
I made this smoothie after my kick boxing class on Saturday morning. Yes, I do kick boxing. Hiyah! I started the class a couple of years ago. I LOVE the workout and I’ve made some great friends too.
I go to my kickboxing class four times a week. One or two other days during the week I’ll fill in with a variety of other workouts. Sometimes I’ll follow a DVD workout at home. I love Bob Harper’s workouts. Other days I like to go for a run in my neighborhood, especially now that it’s getting warmer out. Well, it’s more like I jog? Fast walk? I dunno, something that resembles someone trying to run.

This smoothie looks fantastic, Tina! I think I’m hooked on strawberries right now, but I could definitely let pineapple slide in, too. Love the pretty colors!
It’s hard to go wrong with strawberries. 🙂
