I’m not ready for Summer to end but I am already craving all the things that I love about Fall. Fall is my favorite time of the year so I’m ready to dive into some of my favorite Fall trends. Plus I’ve already seen Halloween candy at the grocery store and coats at the department stores so I figure it’s socially acceptable to talk about sweaters, boots, and pumpkin food. 😉
Grab a cup of coffee (like maybe this pumpkin spice latte) and see how I’m getting ready for my favorite season.
Food.
Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin. Need I say more? Starbucks has not announced when they will release the infamous pumpkin spice latte but the word is that it will be around September 8th. I might get a head start and make my homemade pumpkin spice latte at home (which is a great copycat version).
I’m also looking forward to whipping up a batch of my pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie (which I make almost every Thanksgiving), and pumpkin snickerdoodle white chocolate chip cookies, just to name a few pumpkin goodies that I’ve made over the years. I’ve made more so click here to scope out the entire list.
Fashion.
Sweaters. Before the season starts I take inventory of what sweaters I have and which ones need to be replaced because I’ve worn them out. (Why do sweaters seem to go from looking new to pill-y and old looking so quickly?) Then it’s time to shop! Cardigans are a must have and this year the cardigans seem to be long and chunky. As a short gal that can be challenging so it’s key for me to try them on and make sure that they don’t look like a dress on me. If I can find stores that sell petite sizes then that’s even better. I’ve got my eye on this one and this one.
Scarves. Last year I bought a bazillion scarves. Roughly. 😉 But seriously, I was out of control. I’m pretty set on them but I’m sure I’ll find a color or pattern that I don’t already have.
Shoes. There are SO many fun booties and boots and I can’t decide which ones I want. All of them? Chunky heel is on trend this season, which I love. I also love to sport a skinny heel and I think it’s a classic look that will always be in style. I’ve already bought these Ivanka Trump heels. I bought them in burgundy last year and wore them so much that I just had to keep checking back to see if they’d add a brown color to the collection. When I saw the cognac suede I jumped on buying them right away.
Home. Candles always add a little warmth to the home and I’m a big fan of the candles from Bath & Body Works. I’m sure I’ve mentioned that a few times before. 😉 They last a long time and they smell wonderful so you’ve got to check out their candle collection. I usually buy them when they’re on sale and I usually buy one or more of each size and place them in the rooms we spend the most time, like the kitchen and the family room. I also love their deep cleansing soaps so I’ll be picking up a few of those too. (Those are actually on sale right now!)
Have I got you pumped for Fall yet? Ciao for now!
