What better way to say thank you to someone than with cookies and coffee? The other day I mentioned to you that my best friend and her family were coming up for a visit and that my parents were also coming over at some point to help build some shelves for my shoe closet. Well, things didn’t go exactly as I had planned. (I can hear my husband say that that’s why I shouldn’t plan so much.) My friend’s daughter came down with the flu so we postponed their visit. Now I’ve got a lot of leftover Fudgy Brownies. I know, that’s a real problem. 😉 Thank goodness …

Corn Guacamole
This is my first time making guacamole. Holy guacamole… I bet that’s the first time you’ve ever heard that one. 😉 I buy plenty of avocados. I patiently wait for them to ripen. (Patiently… lol… I’m funny.) Then I cut them open and… eat them immediately with a little salt and pepper. Yup, the simple truth is that we can never keep them around long enough for me to do anything fun with them. Can you blame me? Avocado, salt, and pepper… it’s so silly simple but so darn delicious. Well, that ends right here, right now. I’m turning yummy avocado …
Cranberry Sparkler
Summer is practically here. I realized that every summer since I started this blog, I’ve posted about a refreshing beverage… one that I’m obsessed over. You know, the one that you pretty much drink every… single… day. This summer it’s cranberry and bubbles. Throw some lime in there and the refreshment levels are positively stratospheric. Is this even a real recipe? It seems so simple that I feel like I’m cheating here. However, I never knew about this tasty concoction until I met my husband so that means there’s a chance you don’t know about it either. So this is a “recipe” …
Pancakes
TGIF… and it’s a long weekend! Most people are gearing up for the start of BBQ season this weekend, getting the hamburgers, hot dogs, and various BBQ fixings ready. However, I’ve got breakfast on the brain, pancakes to be exact. Recently I realized that a pancake recipe has not made an appearance on Tina’s Chic Corner. What the what? I mean, pancakes are one of my faves. Typically my husband makes pancakes using Bisquick with the recipe on the back of the box. While the Bisquick ones are tasty, I wasn’t going to post something that was pretty much just add milk and eggs …
Best… Brownies… Ever
Welcome to my new series, the Best Ever! Here’s the scoop… What’s it about? After many years of cooking and two plus years of having a food blog, I’ve come to realize that a recipe falls into one of a few categories. One, the recipe is gross and you will never see it here because I only share the good stuff with you. (Not mysteriously, you have no idea how many things I’ve made that fall into this category. My husband points out that you should trust that to be a good thing.) Two, the recipe is great and I love it at …
