Easy Hummus

Hummus is my go-to dip because it’s a real crowd pleaser.  A lot of people like it for so many reasons.  It’s gluten-free, vegetarian friendly, has no cholesterol, and it tastes amazing.  In other words, it’s likely healthier than a creamy, cheesy type of dip. The chick peas combined with the garlic flavor and a hint of lemon create an awesome taste.  If you use fresh garlic then you can enjoy it right after it’s been made…no wait time.  However, I find that if the garlic is not fresh then in order to maximize the flavors let the hummus set …

Cheese Danish

Heaven.  Yup, one word to describe this delectable breakfast treat. You may remember from my Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake that my family and I are HUGE fans of Entenmann’s goodies, especially my dad.   My husband and I were planning a visit with my family I thought it was the perfect opportunity to bring them another baked goodie, reminiscent of the Entenmann’s line.  A cheese danish was the perfect choice. I’m so excited about this Skinny Banana Blueberry Shake because it’s one of my best tasting shake creations!  I make shakes and smoothies often.  I don’t tend to follow recipes but instead I just throw a bunch of ingredients in the blender, usually whatever I have in the fridge.  Sometimes I have a winner and sometimes not so much. I love getting inspiration from my fellow food bloggers, family, friends, professional chefs, you name it.  Have you ever heard of Sally’s Baking Addiction?  Sally may have a baking addiction, but I have an addiction to seeing what Sally’s been up to.  I’ve only been a …

Simple Coffee Table Decor

I find decorating my coffee table so much fun because the possibilities are endless.  Technically I have a “cocktail table” since there are little shelves that you can pull out to place your drink.  How neat is that? The table is pretty traditional with its round shape and dark wood.  I have a nice blank slate to work with.  I wanted a simple, uncluttered look using neutral tones, which and I did by using only three neutral colored objects. I still adore the cork screws in the over sized round glass container that I made a few months back.  Wine Corks Decor can coordinate …
