Welcome to our home for the holidays! I usually adorn the staircase garland with ribbon but I didn’t want to use any this year (I made up for it in other rooms though). I wanted a minimalist look so I only added these flameless candles. I wasn’t sure how it would turnout but I love the simplicity and festive feeling, kind of old world like. For the tree in our kitchen, I went with a nature theme. I used lots of ribbon for bows, dried eucalyptus and clear glass ornaments. Here’s a close up of the beauty. I’ve had these …

Christmas Dining Room 2024 and A Fun Christmas Dessert Recipe For Hosting
My husband and I love to host dinners with family and friends during the holidays. Everything you see in these photos are things that I already had, except for the table runner and fresh flowers. Yet, this scene looks very different than what I’ve done in past years. It just goes to show you that you don’t need to buy all new things every year. I love an excuse to buy fresh flowers but I do it on a budget. Two words… grocery store. I bought 3 bunches with a single flower type in each for only $15 total and …
Christmas 2023
Welcome to our home for the 2023 holidays! This year I’m embracing nature, earthy touches, and neutral colors with a touch of traditional reds and greens. Our kitchen tree is an ode to our vacation to Quebec City, Canada because we enjoyed macarons and hot cocoa almost every night in old Quebec. So there are several macaron ornaments on the tree. This summer I found out that I love ferns (mostly because I haven’t killed them yet). It started with one and now I have three. I decided to leave them out on the kitchen table and dress them up …
Christmas Dining Room 2023 and The Most Requested Cookie Recipe
My husband and I love baking and handing out cookies. Chocolate chip (or M&M) cookies are hands down the most requested cookie no matter what time of the year it is. If you’re lost about where to start your holiday baking, then I recommend you start with these chocolate chip cookies because you can’t go wrong. We also love hosting friends and family, and one place we spend a bunch of time is our dining room. This year it has a rustic/nature/elegant theme. I kept the table center piece very simple. I used whimsical bird accent plates to match the …
Christmas 2022
Welcome to our home for the holidays! The kitchen is a busy room in our home, especially this time of the year with all of the cookie baking. I’m glad that we added a Christmas tree last year to this room to make it more festive. I bought a size that I think would work in several rooms but I loved it so much in the kitchen that I set it up in the same spot this year. I think my style this year is pretty similar to least year. I focused on neutrals and nature. I bought this table …
